cordless blower and other cordless tools

long story.....echo blower purge bulb broke, replaced it and now it won't attempt to start. Never had any issues with it for 5 years. Thought possibly bad fuel line or carb. Plug has spark (so coil and plug are good), tried starting fluid in cylinder as a test to bypass the carb and i get absolutely nothing. frustrated!
looking at replacing with cordless blower but want a brand that i can eventually add other tools. Anyone in a similar situation?

I have an Ego string trimmer. I love it.
Getting the blower next. Ive been fooling with gas for years and it's not worth it.
Cordless is best of both worlds IMO.

I’ve been building my battery powered arsenal with Milwaukee. I started with a blower, now I have a weed eater/edged combo, and a hedge trimmer. I also have a Milwaukee cordless drill and hammer drill. I can charge all of the batteries on the same chargers, and the 12 amp hour M18 battery is a beast.

I’ve been looking at the DeWalt line. More than likely go with the 60V/FlexVolt since I have a bigger place. They have a standard 20V Max lineup as well. My DeWalt tools have been good to me. Stihl also offers a battery lineup but I like the flexibility to interchange batteries with my tools.
I really only need a string trimmer and a blower. I have Stihl gas powered of each, but the wife acts like she wants to help. So I might get a set and make it easier on all of us.

I have an Echo also that I just replaced with another Echo and I can’t say enough good things about them, BUT I’m tired of always grabbing the blower and it being out of gas. Between my wife and I and our property we use it a lot.
I’ve read nothing but good things about Ego stuff and I’m about to spend the money on the new 650 blower to start transitioning to battery powered. I don’t need it, but I kind of really want it as I’m actually better at plugging in batteries than mixing gas all the damn time.

I have a good many dewalt hand tools and 20 bolt batteries so I bought a dewalt string trimmer. Works good so when needing a pole saw I bought the 20 volt dewalt. They go through batteries pretty quickly but I’ve got plenty so not a big deal. I don’t miss the issues with fuel issues with 2 stroke small engines.
My wife runs them too and loves not having to deal with cranking an engine.

I buy all Ryobi.
Love them.

Ryobi 40V blower, and 40V weed trimmer with edger attachment. Batteries warranted (full) for 5 years.
80V mower Kobalt mower. Sucker is great. 15,000' yard, one charge. Does it all. 3 year battery warranty.
DO. NOT. MISS. GAS.
Only gas powered items I have left are my pressure washer and power generator.

Almost the same, I have the Dewalt blower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, and weedeater. 
Waiting for another home depot sale on the 9.0 aH flex volt batteries. Picked up two batteries and two chargers for just over the regular price of 1 battery and charger last year.

She's just acting.
My wife acted the same way. After about 5 minutes with the weed eater, she no longer acted that way.

I have a dewalt blower and cordless tools. If you watch Home Depot and Amazon you can get some good deals on dewalt.

I use the 40v Kobalt system. The hedge trimmer and chainsaw are both high quality and tear shite up. I couldn't be more happy with them.

Echo blower and trimmer. Only used non-ethanol gas in them. 8 years old and have never given me an ounce of trouble.

Appreciate the responses. It seems that once you take the plunge buying one with battery and charger it get's easier to continually add on to your arsenal.
Any preferences as to battery/voltage sizes? I'm guessing that dewalt specializes in hand tools so most of the options are likely 20V whereas it seems Ryobi has larger yard tools and if that is the need 40V makes more sense??

I'm in the Dewalt camp, the 20/60 Volt flex system gives you a good combination of power and battery life. On the bigger yard equipment I use the 60V batteries and the hand tools I use the 20Vs but you can put a 60V battery on a 20V tool. Never tried it the other way so not sure if it works.
