He also said no tax on overtime. I’ll believe it when I see it…… on my check.
When you fill your 1040 this year, you'll have a credit for the amount of federal tax you paid on the overtime portion of your wages.

He’s committed, so there should be less pressure for an outcome of the visit.

This is probably the most time you’re ever gonna have 1:1 with the coach, so make sure you have your questions lined up. Who does he go to when he’s in trouble, how much access does he have to training and medical staff, how does the staff communicate/relay info to parents. Do you have any restrictions accessing him, etc. you might know all of that already.

In-home visits are supposed to be more informal and more comfortable because they are on your turf. Expectations are up to you, but it’s nice they’re doing it when you’re committed and it’s a great opportunity to build a relationship

As others have said, best of luck to your son and congrats. He’s in the top 1% of HS athletes and has put himself in position to be very successful. And congrats to you! Those credits add up

Piggybacking on Jones' advice, make sure you and Mrs. Thumb talk with your son a few days prior to the visit so that he can get his questions in order. There might be some things he's hesitant to ask that y'all can step in and ask the "dumb questions". These recruiters are going to shift to coaches sooner than later, so now is the time to get your questions in.

I'm sure y'all already asked, but make sure whatever credits he'll be earning at Holmes will transfer to major universities.

Congrats and good luck
Sometimes Arnold played bad and made the OL look like shite
Sometimes the OL played bad and made Arnold look like shite
Sometimes they both played bad and looked like shite together
Rarely did they both play well at the same time

There is something new for 2025 for it but can’t really make sense of it.
Post it. As far as I know, there weren't significant changes to this in OBBBA.

You need to get the custodial parent to fill out Form 8332 (regardless of what is in a divorce decree, this form supersedes any legal agreement in the eyes of the IRS). Then you have to meet all the normal requirements of the CTC.

I somehow missed this. What the hell…

It's a good idea though. We need Tubbs to funnel some fed money into an NGO that funds our NIL
I just want a winning season and a bowl game. After that I'll raise my expectations

I think Golesh and Banks coached at Illinois together
Wonder if we go after Frank Wilson (LSU) for the RB coach. Seems like Kiffin is showing him the door. Solid RB coach and supposedly a very good recruiter.

there are a lot of people in the know
except, we're Auburn and we don't have people "in the know" as proven once again by this coaching search/hiring. All we have are people that make a plausible narrative that fits events that have already happened

I'm hoping this is a Golesh decision
I feel like if it wasn’t Golesh’s choice, Durkin would have been announced as DC already.
No one from our offensive staff should be retained
I don’t understand this other than to get our receivers more catches

My FFL suggested National Gun Trusts. It's the one he uses and the process was easy. Their customer service was also prompt when I had a few questions
