Brandon Harris says hello.
It’s amazing how brutal people are toward Jefferson. And claim Lee should never have been benched. He threw two interceptions against Bama and was benched cause he was letting his nerves get to him and he didn’t follow his reads.
Jefferson was by no means a great QB. But to say he’s the worst college QB is just ignorant and unfair to him. He was better than Lee and for damn sure was better than Brandon Harris. Harris transfers to NC and he might’ve been worse there than here.

eople booed THE COACHES for changing the QB during the best season in 50 years. That 2011 team could have been all time greats.
You don’t mess with perfect seasons but Les wanted to give him reps. That moment change the dynamics of everything.
Not sure why you got the down votes but this was the truth.

Jefferson was our only option to win a 60 minute game vs Bama, and that’s all that really mattered.
Lee was given 2 opportunities in ‘11 to win the job at AL. They gave him best case scenario on both occasions. They called 1st down passes, and Lee literally threw INT’s to the only double covered WR on both plays.
Jefferson was our only chance to win, and we did. But it was never going to happen a 2nd time around. It would have had to be Mett in the NC game, which took Miles and Cameron 2 years to develop into a 3 loss season QB w 2 All Pro WRs w 1st round RB, and they had a month to install it.
The QB position and Les Miles will live in infamy.

I will agree with this however OUR punter won that game for us by putting Bama in real bad field position the whole game. Bottom line is that we had zero 1st downs in the first half againstUGA and the title game JJ made many mistakes. But this thread should be titled “JJ running the stone aged , no adjustments offense of Les Miles.

Les thwarted any development Jefferson, Lee, Jennings, and Harris could have made throughout their careers with his anemic scheme. I don’t blame them one bit. People that blame these kids and used to say LSU could never find a QB are just stupid. That’s like someone who has been divorced four times saying it’s always the other person.

I don’t think JJ was good, but I don’t blame him.
I blame Les for his archaic offense that didn’t give our athletes a chance to succeed.

You can down vote all you want, Jordan had problems.
Passing was not that good, timing was off, and he could never let the last play go; good or bad.
He had talent, I do think the coaching staff needed to do what the old Notre Dame coach did; dance lessons to teach timing.
Do not talk of play calling back in those days, that was what everyone playing back then, including Bama.
I do wonder if he would have made an outstanding wr.
He is no where near the worst we had at Qb, just a serviceable middle of the pack qb.

Jefferson suffered in a severely restrained offense. It was all Miles.
The offense looked better in 2011 against cupcakes with Lee, so it fostered an artificial controversy.
Jefferson couldn't throw with touch. Lee floated too many off his back foot. Jefferson had a painfully slow release. Lee got scared in the pocket.
The only reason Jefferson kept getting the nod over Lee is his ability to run when the play broke down. And with the terrible offense Miles established, the play was inevitably going to break down.
Neither QB had any business leading this team. Blame Perrilloux for that.
After Lee's abysmal 08 Freshman year, Miles got scared and handcuffed the offense. He also hid Lee, which probably broke the kid psychologically. It was apparently a philosophy change that he couldn't shake.

Garbage with a bad attitude.

I think he had potential to be better. The play calling did smell. They continually called passing plays he was not very good at.

Les Miles was the problem. Jefferson would have been better under last year’s offense.

He wasn't invited to the combine to be evaluated, he was brought in to throw to the wrs. He didn't workout with the qbs or anyone else.
Brandon Harris was way better then Jefferson, but anthony Jennings is the worst of all, by far.

Our offense was basically Notre Dame circa Tony Rice.
Sheesh, Miles was so inept on offense.
