No defense won that game. He had no pocket awareness.

That said, he wasn’t as bad as some here remember. Unfortunately he will be remembered for that last game on 1/9/12. He and Les were awful that night.

this is the key. Les signed off on that god awful scheme for that game.
Two turds in a punch bowl together....equally culpible.

LSU would’ve been best off letting Mett play more reps in 2011 and let him play 1/9

We don't beat UTenn, UF, and perhaps Bama without him in '10. His 3rd and 13 throw to Reuben Randle vs Bama was a clutch as could be. Last time we beat Bama in TS BTW.

Yep. Lee got duties on final winning drives in those games. Should tell you something.

Rickydaddy must be in timeout or he would be in here blasting everyone that has talked bad about Miles and JJ.

Yep, this is right up his alley.

He doesn't post as much since the season didn't go the way he had hoped.

The people saying JJ got TM busted are talking about after he was kicked off the team and then let back on the following year in 2013 (I think). Prior to the season he was busted with drugs again and I think he was at JJ apartment but can’t remember.

Not saying this is JJ fault but most forget TM was reinstated after a year.

The guy wasn't garbage like a lot of people on here keep saying, he just played in a terrible offensive system like other LSU OB's. shite, poor Brandon Harris the same, kid had a tremendous arm that had he been in an offense like this current offense he could have developed that arm and touch really well. But Jefferson needed to be in a RPO offense himself because he could make plays using both his arm and his feet. He didn't have the best arm, but he still could get a ball to where it needed to be.

Bama blew our OL up in the BCSCG. With Lee there, it is far more likely he throws a half-dozen picks as he is fighting off defenders.
or he lights a spark.

But we’ll never know, will we?

You got that right. We will never know. Like Bobby Hebert asked Les after the game, "What do you have to lose". Les never wanted Jared Lee to be the QB. 8-0 and got off to a bad start against the best defense in football(Bama). He never saw the field again. Not saying Jared was a great QB but our offence was better when he was the starter. Jared new he was going to be benched as soon as he made a mistake - interception during bama game. No need to bash JJ. The Jefferson's have been very good for LSU overall.

He couldn’t make the right decision on zone reads or options, why do you think he could’ve operated the offense we ran last season any better? He was terrible, not just his lack of skills but between his ears he was by far the worst starting QB LSUs had. If he had any of the potential I keep seeing people say he had hedve at least been given a look in the NFL but he lasted less than one spring practice before they sent him packing.

He’s talking about when the police went to his apartment because JJ allegedly told the apartment security guard off.

I always believed that if JJ went somewhere like Oregon, he would have had a great career. Go look at the numbers Darron Thomas put up there. It seemed like the very few times LSU would run an RPO or read option with JJ, they would always break a big play.

"Jordan beat Bama twice. Let that sink in. As shitty as the offensive game plan was during his time, he still beat Bama twice. He could’ve thrived in a good offensive scheme. He did his best here and then pushed his brothers here. For those things, he’ll always be a great Tiger to me."

He never got a lot of protection in the pocket.
That and my memory of the time was a good number of dropped passes.

Listen good QBs under Less could still have half decent years.

Would JJ have been better in a better offense? Of course

Would he have been good? frick no.

Just like Harris and Jennings sucked when they transfered. They were bad QBs.

So was Lee

Don’t notice it until the paradigm shift of masterminds calling the plays changes.

Say/believe what you will, players can only do so much... Imagine Joe under Les...
