You’re typical liberal trash, take or steal what others earn and produce. I’m not surprised you think stealing is a good idea

If you found a 100 dollar bill on the ground are you driving to the police station?

Anyone that would’ve kept it is missing something inside and doesn’t have a full heart.

Someone in this chain has skimmed off the top.
I'd be shocked if 100% if the money left was returned. Most likely someone at the police has made their house payment a little bit easier this month

Caught him for what? Is it illegal to keep money found on the street?

Which is why I'm saying this kid is stupid

Giving unclaimed cash to the police is never a good idea

Yeah I’m of the opinion finders keepers.

But I have no idea if that’s the law or not. Could they force him to return the money or could he face criminal charges if he didn’t?

Right. Because Wells Fargo is such an upstanding institution it would be a shame if they were out a few dollars

Wells Fargo could have at least promised him a no PMI mortgage for his first house.

Comparing finding a 100 on the ground to 135k in bag is so Powerputz

Completely disagree. This isn't like finding a $100 bill in Central Park. When you find a bag of cash containing THAT much money you can assume one of two things - it belongs to a bank or a drug cartel. If it belongs to a bank, you'll be found and arrested; if it belongs to a cartel, you'll be found and decapitated.

He didn’t know it was Wells Fargo’s when he turned it in. Could’ve been some little old lady’s life savings.

The stuff in your house is insured too. I suspect you would mind if someone just started shopping one day because you made a “mistake” and left the door unlocked.

Theft is theft dude. It’s troubling that you don’t see this as theft.

Good on this young man of character and nice he's being recognized for doing the right thing. With other businesses stepping up, I'm surprised Wells Fargo or the subcontractor hasn't done anything for him. Good to hear about good people especially in these uncertain times.
