Why would it mean schools have to open? Texas is opening up gradually and schools are closed for the year.

@LouisianaGov executive counsel sends a letter to GOP legislative leaders saying if an effort to rescind the gov's order goes forward, Louisiana would in effect reopen schools, cancel federal aid, etc

BULL frickING shite. Hey Jayce, tell your boss to stop lying.

At least they're starting to be honest about the reason he's keeping the state closed:

I can't imagine it actually would. In theory I guess it would mean schools COULD open, but schools have already put in place the virtual learning measures for the year, no school is going to pivot and start holding classes next Monday.

Government cheese.

Mouth-watering, fall off the bone, government cheese.

Government is literally fricking this entire thing up.
- Paying out more money for states that have to stay locked down longer. No way governors would ever abuse that.
- Paying hospitals 20% more for Covid patients than normal patients. No way hospital administrators would ever abuse that and inflate their Covid numbers.

It's funny how they act like they have no say so in how the state is run without an emergency order. The only thing they would lose control over is the federal money, which is what this whole charade is about.

They may have if they would be allowed to be open in April, but not just for the 2 weeks they would be open in May.

Not necessarily. The state was granted a waiver on school attendance requirements.

Texas more than likely is still in a declared emergency. LA is trying to lift the emergency order entirely.

Someone should let JBE know that schools aren't open in Phase 1.

So I guess JBE is going to keep the state closed til June 1st? The school year isnt over May 15. Most schools end at the end of May.....

To those in the legislature who are lurking - get off your arse and open the fricking state.
