I'd never vote for Bernie in a million years. But defending billionaires is pretty damn tough.

I have lost out on zero income because they exist.

The only aspect if their existence that affects me is usually their politics.

but we also need something in place to keep those same billionaires from being able to control things.

We need politicians with backbones. This is how they go to DC thousandaires and leave millionaires. They take the money to change the policy, line their own pockets then bitch about billionaires making policy.

Taking money from anyone, regardless of how altruistic the reason, should never be something our government considers. They already take and take and take with taxes and fees. We don’t need them resorting to just plain old theft.

I agree. There needs to be 1 less billionaire. She needs to give me half her money and donate half to my other friends and for that she gets to eat steak or lettuce or whatever the hell she wants off the grill.

And that is 99% the fault of those two-fifths. I only left out the 1% because shite happens.

Just another article trying to pass the blame.

You know why those billionaires are billionaires? It's not because they stuck all their money in their mattress. It's because they created business and jobs.

Billionaires created millions of jobs. Now they just hoarding assets. As long as they are making those assets work for the people I'm good. God wants us to be productive not hoard assets. Says so in the Bible.

We don't have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem. But that's math and it's hard.

I personally don’t have a problem with the becoming a billionaire. My problem comes in that once there, the billionaires do everything they can to pull the latter up with them.

I would ok with capping wealth at 15 billion dollars. Once you have this much, anything extra you make gets distributed to areas of need as voted on by the people (education, healthcare, defense).

I don’t know the numbers, but I would assume this would apply to <20 families.
