I’ve seen the tooling for the space shuttle, some of which was modified from Saturn V equipment, as well as the tooling used to build the SLS. It involves welding large tubes and domes for pressure vessels. The old method was fusion welding, but now we use stir welding, which greatly changed the tooling since the loads from the weld head are much higher compared to a torch melting parent and filler material.

The SLS is built with far fewer people and a much smaller budget, using multiple separate builders to complete the mission. The first SLS flew around the moon—something Apollo never did. We have so many complete Saturn Vs still on static view because they were exhaustively tested to ensure they could perform. The SLS succeeded on the first try thanks to better technology and achieving more with less.

If I were building a car to travel the world, I wouldn’t copy a 1962 Impala; I’d design something more comfortable, safe, and technologically advanced. Ok, they used 1970s engines, which are still near optimal for power efficiency and safety, and were destined for the scrap bin, saving an enormous amount of cost. Chemical propulsion has its limits, and we were/are nearing the end of what it could deliver.

I can’t understand those who think this was faked. I’ve witnessed some of the immense resources and craftsmanship involved in building Saturn V motors and seen bits of leftover tooling. The test stands at Stennis are like monuments to human engineering. There’s plenty to doubt in this world, but the Saturn program and moon landings aren’t among them.

The free market always finds the most efficent distance between two points, even when the government is paying you to put solar collectors all over your roof and no road tax on your electric car with a giant rebate.

That is a well pump. It is made to fit into a well pipe. There is a motor section and a pump section. All I have seen have the motor section at the bottom to keep the motor cool if it uncovers the pump section. You can buy them separately. Depending on the size they can range into thousands of dollars. . There are many different ratings even for the same horsepower. Some are designed to be inside of a deep well, pumping water up 500, 1000 feet. Others are designed for low head that can deliver large volumes. That is probably what you have.

I've never seen one used in a pond, you have to be sure there is water surrounding the pump pickup at all times or it will burn up. Clogging will kill it. A well service person will know how to solve your issues. If its tripping the breaker the motor probably fried.

We had a well service pull one up from 100 feet down the well bore, swap out the 4" diameter 3 horse motor section with a new one, and reinstall. I think it was about $2000 for everything.

I was cutting grass in my backyard, and it was in the middle of the day. I stopped for a minute to take a break and I looked above me in a clear blue sky and it was hard to tell but about 150, 200 feet above me was a silver thing that looked like it was built out of rectangles with some angled faces on it, roughly about 1 foot square. I thought it was a kids stray balloon but the shape was weird and it hung there motionless, no sound. I watched it for probably a minute just sit there and then I ran out of explanations in my head, so I ran in the house to grab my binoculars to get a better look. I knew exactly where they were and it wasn't far to go so it was about 10 seconds, tops. And yep it was gone when I got back outside. I scanned all around and didn't see it. 20ish years later it still makes me contemplate WTF that was. I think it was some kind of observation drone from the way it looked and acted.

Are there aliens? Most assuredly.
