Outside of a 1911 or 2011.... what's your go to .45? Or if you shopping for one, what's your top pics? I like the looks of the M&P .45 but haven't laid hands on one. HOWEVER, my #1 choice may be the Sig P227 Tacops.

S&W Shield 45. Cause that's the only other 45 I own that isn't a 1911.

Sig P220 (but I'm old).

Your P227 would be my second choice.

I have a Glock 36.
Single stack 6+1. Not too bulky.

This is my carry pistol cause it is a beater and I can drive tacks with it. Got a Sig P220 as well at home that sometimes get thrown in the mix but mainly stick with my Glock.

I have the 30S and it wasn't as snappy as I was expecting it to be. But it ain't no 1911, that's for sure. 10 rounds of .45 ACP is pretty nice.

I've got one too. Mines not snappy - maybe it's you have weak wrists??

Glad this thread popped up, as earlier this week I was looking into getting a .45 host for my Ghost finally (it’s lived on my 9mm PPQ thus far). I think I’ve narrowed my choices to the PPQ M2 SD in .45, or the M&P M2.0 .45. Both come with threaded barrels. I’ve always wanted a reason to get a full size M&P (currently only own a Shield), but I am in love with the flat faced Apex trigger in my PPQ Navy. Thoughts?

Yes, everyone should have a 1911... but nothing wrong with something with more capacity.

Thanks for the input.
