I agree. A few simple edits make would have made it a lot better.

It’s a really bad dumb movie.

It makes Attack of the Clones appear decent.

The last Jedi was a Disney/marvel feeling farce parading as Star Wars

It wasn’t even that! Marvel movies tend to have consistent plots and faithful reliance on previous films within the universe. I don’t know what TLJ was. It was just crap.

Was it bad? Yes

Does it deserve the 2 year melt/outrage it has received? Of course not, it's just a fricking movie.

As bad as it was, if they let Leia die in the beginning and keep Luke alive at the end, the movie would’ve been salvageable and there’d be some more anticipation for the next movie.

Can’t believe they didn’t do that after Fisher’s death.

Rian wanted to subvert her expectations of dying and not being in the third movie.

I will never forget the absolute dumbfounded confusion I felt in that moment.

That isn’t even the dumbest thing that’s happened in Star Wars.

True, but it was one of the dumbest things in TLJ.

mainly for what it did to Luke.

That's major, but the real travesty is that it *didn't* do anything for anyone else. Nothing was developed. The depth of the entire film could be effectively captured in an opening scroll. That should be the title. Episode 8: The Long Scroll. Just because Episode 8: Basically Where We Left Episode 7 Minus Snoke and Luke Plus Rose Tico is too long.

Oh yes it was, it was bad, bad. Mary Poppins Leia was just horrific.

I just rewatched the opening scene again....yes it was worse than people say. Go read the opening scroll.... It sounds nothing like verbage from any other star wars movie.

The opening joke with Poe set the tone and it was downhill from there.

It was exactly the same as the opening scene from Thor: Ragnarok.

Disney tried to put too many Marvel jokes in it.

Seems there are huge mistakes every 3 mins in the movie.

Luke throwing lightsaber, snoke not acting anything like a leader, Lazer sword, green titty milk. Ugh
