Arse needs to get up in here and then start trolling LaToya on Twitter.

quote:

Ramsey Green, Cantrell’s chief infrastructure adviser, said that early in the mayor’s term, some people had advised her against taking on the second phase because of the problems that arose in the first. But recognizing the importance of the project, he said, the administration forged ahead.

“She did it, she owned it, and, holy cow, we got the frigging job done,” Green said.

But...

quote:

The complicated reconstruction job, which began in the spring of 2017, cost three times more than expected and came in 18 months late.

When it was kicked off under former Mayor Mitch Landrieu, the roadwork was expected to cost about $6 million and be wrapped up by the end of 2017. All told, the project rang in at about $18.5 million.

Yep. Real cause for celebration here.

I have no idea how these people keep their jobs.

Mitch was crazy to think that there wouldn't be any problems or slowdowns with that project. He passed the buck like a boss on that one knowing he wouldn't have to answer for any of it. Opening up a street like that there was no way it was going to be done on that schedule or within that budget.

The welfare leeches and hipsters in New Orleans will continue to vote for her unconditionally. They're too stupid or full of white guilt to vote for anyone with an IQ above 12.

They should’ve told Mitch there were some statues under bourbon street. It would’ve been done 18 months early.

DEFINITELY looks like the kinda guy that says "holy cow"...

I like the two guys on the back right that are like, "Jesus Christ...".

The worse mayor New Orleans has ever had and that’s saying a lot. I had no idea it would be any worse than Mitch.

Would love for someone to check into those construction companies. Lotta “other people’s money” changing hands.

I can guarantee you that 20% of that was only materials. 80% was labor charges for time and half which were definitely over charged.

Well, the street hasn't collapsed... yet. That's reason to celebrate.

She was obviously in over her head when she even ran for the office. To be fair, Half Moon left the city in shambles.

Well, you can technically get any job done if you really want to.

It may just cost lots more to get it done quickly
