Anyone know of some good neighborhoods to trick or treat in? Moved here from Metairie and I’m not sure where to go. Was thinking maybe kenilworth neighborhood, or shanadoah? Both of them are so big I don’t wanna walk the kids down to every 10th house is giving out candy

Please stay in your own neighborhood. Be the change you want to see.

Our neighborhood has a park inside of it and instead of trick or treating, the parents of all the kiddos throw a Halloween party for them at the park. It’s a good idea.

what neighborhood do you live in? Try that one.

It’s one thing to have friends in a neighborhood invite you to trick or treat with them, or even to trick or treat in a neighborhood close to you, but people that drive across town (not saying that is your case) to trick or treat In a neighborhood they weren’t invited to (without much in the way of costumes and with a big vehicle rolling so they don’t even have to walk) is the height of trashy

Poor people and those who don’t live in neighborhoods are “bussed” into nicer neighborhoods. This is nothing new.

So driving to another neighborhood is trashy, but knocking on doors of people with lights off and not handing out candy in your own neighborhood isn't?

Your own neighborhood would be the correct answer. You should have moved into a better neighborhood

And they get to pick out of the shite candy pile. Enjoy the candy corn, licorice, and grandma strawberry candies.

Well it is on Halloween because it's empty.

Can't come to mine. It's got a big gate.

SWB and Gravy are urging people to travel to NBR and do your trick or treating.

Yep. We definitely have two baskets of candy at my house to pass out from. One for the “foreigners” and another for the neighborhood kids.

I usually do two different candy bins. One for the kids in our neighborhood and one for the kids that get bused in from BR.

Honestly, it makes more sense to me for poor kids from rough areas who don’t deserve to not have a Halloween than it does for kids from nice homes whose parents can make just as nice other arrangements.
