Black voters had a relatively high turnout in early voting, and the numbers show they were largely against all three Thrive measures, said Baton Rouge-based political analysist John Couvillon. “That vote only went about 35% for the tax proposal,” he said about early Black voters. “That was kind of the challenge that the mayor-president had in getting the tax passed.”

You damn fools! Better get a bug zapper!
People are pretty dumb voting against mosquito abatement. It’s only 1 mil.
How much are we paying to house them at other prisons around the state because EBR doesn’t have room?

Millerville Chili’s has great food and service.
LSU is an embarrassing dumpster fire
I’m not impressed with any of them
They are real. And it is very weird.
Drury is a good one. Free breakfast and dinner/drinks.
I’ll never forget Horn signing autographs after the Katrina Tiger Stadium games. He arranged his own transportation so he could stay longer and sign for every fan that wanted an autograph. The Saints bus pulled away and it was him just signing. No media, no security. Just a player and his fans until everyone got an autograph. Now, that tells you a lot about a person.

I think the Pelicans will get a new stadium in the near future and we could see the NHL expanding and sharing a stadium with the Pelicans. It really makes the most sense.

It’s a real shame that there are no minor league baseball teams in Louisiana. It could definitely work in a downtown setting.

I thought that PGTB was owned by City Park.

And City Park is run by the City Park Improvement Agency which technically is a State of Louisiana agency that falls under the control of the Lt. Governor’s office.

Why doesn’t Governor Landry relocate the PGT Beauregard statue to Camp Beauregard? He has the authority. The State of LA owns that statue.

This looks to be a problem.

The flood of 2016 saved Baton Rouge from the albatross that is buc ee's. They had contracts drawn up and ready to sign to put one on I12 at Millerville. Then that whole side of I12 was under 4+ feet of water.

The proposed Buc-ee’s property off Millerville did not flood. I’m not sure why people keep saying it did.
