The lack of men wearing suits at weddings and funerals is sad.

In general I dont mind that society has become more casual but weddings and funerals are the exception.
Went to the funeral for the mother of one of my best baws yesterday and of the 100 or so in attendance only maybe 5 suits
Lots of guys wearing just a polo and khakis. sad.

Suits are expensive and a lot of guys who don't need them for work have one for weddings and funerals, and then get too fat for it and don't have the money or time to go buy a new one. It's sad. It's pathetic. But it's life.

I wear a suit to such events as a show of respect that I care enough about them to do something I don't normally do.

I don't even own a suit but will wear a button-up shirt with dress pants.

Not sure the younger generation even owns a suit. Outside of black tie events, it's just about been phased out.
