Awww, I’d hate for you to get all worked up over this big man. You might get out of breath.

I went to a wedding where the groom and the groomsmen were wearing Columbia shirts and jeans. I was more dressed up then them.

You do realize the insecure ones are the ones wearing suits, right? They are doing specifically because of what others will think of them.

The people not wearing suits are more in the "IDAF what others think of my attire, I'm going to show support."

Why is it sad? Suits are unconformable.

Polos and khakis are church clothes now.

I wear a suit but I don't fault others.

I retired in April- haven't even worn anything but shorts since that day. For many years I had to wear a suit to work, so don't want to be reminded of those days. Yes, I still own a couple of suits, but unless a really important wedding or funeral, would not wear a suit. Last funeral I went to, only a select few had suits, and this was a more highly respected family.

A lot of low class people in this thread. Every man should own at least a couple of suits and be civilized enough to wear them.

I don't wear a suit because of what other people will think of me. I wear a suit because I'm respectful of the people that asked me to be in attendance.

I think of it as the people not wearing suits are too inconsiderate to be inconvenienced by their own personal preferences.

Unless you are in the wedding, no suit is necessary. And unless you're a pallbearer, no need for one at a funeral, either. Dress pants and a nice button up are fine.

This is the only reason I own seven suits. Those two events are the only reason I wear them.

Most people should just be thankful people are attending.
