So you don't see the point he's trying to make?

Even worse than that fiasco with so many of our fans selling to UG folks is the national championship game. I understand we are a pretty poor state, but damn that was pretty pathetic.

So far, a ton of LSU fans on the streets. No way to estimate the total amount. I have 5-6 people I know that are here without tickets. Our group is 10 deep going to the game

He also said he was hearing many LSU fans were finding it cheaper to just buy season tickets

It would be hilarious if those that bought season tickets tried to sell the other games for real cheap only to the ut opponent fans.

It’s all about the $, especially in TX. The fair weather weather so called Longhorn fans will sit at home over there smokers bragging about how much they got for there tickets. Without a doubt, the most obnoxious college football fans in Div 1.

I believe 30,000 outside before game, 10-15K inside stadium.

Per Texas insider Chip Brown on AFR last hour

It's possible. Maybe Texas fans are like LSU fans in the way they sell their tickets to opposing fans, like last years Georgia, and Alabama games.

I’d bet 30k as a minimum. Not only louisiana folks, but thousand of LSU grads in Houston and Dallas- easier drive and sick of UT assholes all year.

Also, was mentioned earlier in the week, but let’s all try to wear purple to the game if you’re going b/c it’ll stand out well amongst that ugly burnt orange.

gold will stand out better and show up much better on tv. But why not wear purple and gold.

I was just thinking along the lines of what the GA fans did last year in Tiger Stadium, where they all wore red and it looked more unified and was easy to see how many of them were in our house.

I don't believe that. Season Ticket sales were a record 60,000 this year. On top of that they lost a few thousand seats with the South endzone construction in process. I was told by a season ticket holder that the stadium was down to about 90 or 92K this season. After students and band that doesn't leave a whole lot to go around. I would say 10-15K LSU fans

Uhh, you know Texas is orange right?

It’s not an opinion..,it’s a fact of the color wheel... purple stands out more against orange than yellow/gold.

I do agree with the “wear what you want” philosophy, but purple will absolutely stand out better in this particular stadium than gold.

Yeah that is hard to believe but we have not played their since 1954 and most likely will not play their again in our lifetime so will be a lot of LSU fans in the stands

It’d be even funnier if they didn’t sell them at all and caused a 15-20k void in that cupcake stadium

6th Street has been surrendered to purple & gold but no surprise. That’s like opposing teams on Bourbon St. they can have it. Definitely a good showing for LSU but especially impressed with the number of students. Pretty sure we raised the median age of some frat parties tonight. Hotels & restaurants are packed with well lubricated Tiger fans. 30,000 is unreasonable but 20,000 is possible.

Both ends of 6th Street were packed with P&G. So many more students than I would have thought.

uhh yes. It’s a dark orange and ours is a dark purple. Yellow will stand out better. You’ll see.

30,000 in that stadium would be great, but it wouldn't approach the Georgia takeover at Notre Dame in a smaller stadium. They absolutely owned that stadium, much more than they had at LSU.
