It means nothing so I’m not that upset. More funny than anything. And actually it’s a metric I don’t even follow but it was posted on a Longhorn website that was shared to me.
ESPN Power Index has LSU #4, Bama #3. Hahaha

I don't know why so many of our fans (on this board at least) were talking about "arrogant" Texas fans all week, acting like they are on the same level as Bama or Ohio State. I live in Austin, and trust me Texas fans are pretty mild when it comes to foul behavior.
Texas will have shade before LSU as they are on the west side with the larger upper deck

I don't believe that. Season Ticket sales were a record 60,000 this year. On top of that they lost a few thousand seats with the South endzone construction in process. I was told by a season ticket holder that the stadium was down to about 90 or 92K this season. After students and band that doesn't leave a whole lot to go around. I would say 10-15K LSU fans
re: Rainey or 6th Street tonight?

Depends on what you are looking for. 6th has way more bars to choose from, but its also wilder and dirtier....homeless bums pestering you will also be more of an issue. Rainy street is smaller with less to choose from, but is cleaner
As an Austin local I prefer Rainy Street. 6th has changed a lot since I moved here in 2006, and not for the better.

It's going to be smooth sailing for a while but watch out getting into Austin. I would take I-10 to 71 so that it puts you on the right side of Austin but at the airport take 183. Parts of East Austin can get sketchy but you should be ok.
^ This. I have been in Austin since 2006. I-35 is a pain in the arse even on a Sunday afternoon. Gameday Saturday is a nightmare. Minimize your time on it by taking hwy 71 in.

If the Tigers are up by a couple of scores, or at least moving it up and down the field, we will destroy Texas. If it's tied or zero-zero at end of 1st, it will be a nailbiter.
Being up a couple of TD in the NFL perhaps, but not so much in college. College ball is way more prone to big momentum swings, which is why its so much fun to watch.
Besides, I would not be surprised to see Texas score on their first drive. They will have something scripted. It's how well each team adjusts as I expect both to put points on the board.

I think I am on row 40 or there abouts.
Anyone sitting in Sec 1 or 2 Tomorrow?

I'm deep in enemy territory tomorrow. Anyone sitting in 1 or 2 (I think I am on the edge of Sec 1, near 2). Just want to see how deep in the orange juice I am

Nah. I live in Austin and I can say that Bama and A&M fans would easily be more arrogant than Texas fans. Not only are they more arrogant, but just plain dumb.
I wouldn't say Herman is necessarily a superior head coach. He really hasn't proven himself at this level to the degree many people think. Upset losses to Maryland (2 years in a row), OSU, and W. Virginia. They barely squeaked by Baylor, Kansas, and Kansas State last year. Sure they beat Georgia. I will give them that, but so did LSU in a much more significant way.
I live in Austin and there are still quite a few Texas fans who are still not sold on him. Certainly looking up over Charlie Strong, but this idea that he is the next Saban, Dabo, or Meyer is unfounded. He's not even in the same ballpark. Maybe he will be, maybe not, time will tell. As far as the game this week, It will be a good game. The horns are no slouch. THey have a great QB in Ehlinger, but let's see how he does against real DBs.

As I tell my Texas buddies here in Austin...You haven't seen real defensive backs yet
re: Is this the greatest LSU team of all time?

Maybe, maybe not. Too soon to tell. The question is, will we beat Bama. As an Austin resident, it pains me to say it, but If it came to it I would take a road loss to Texas in exchange for a Bama victory.
