Eh, it was cool to see. Will not stop again unless I need to take a dump in the clean bathroom
I was impressed by the amount they pay their workers tho

I'll pay the 3 bucks if it means I don't have to fight a couple dozen sweaty rednecks to get it.

Busy Bee in Live Oak outside Tallahassee has better cleaner bathrooms than the Buccees in AL. I’ve made that drive a few times since it opened, been to both multiple times, and it’s not even close
Negative|
Busy Bee is a cheap small knockoff of Buc-ees.
But it's still better than any gas station around.
Really frustrating we don't have one anywhere in LA. I personally think the I-12 location they backed out of, was a terrible spot. But I'm really surprised they haven't moved to build any else in LA.
Of course, they also haven't built any in MS, either.

Why are you surprised? The politicians tried to shear that sheep too close and Buc-ees told the greedy fricks to piss off.
Realistically, they only need three locations in Louisiana. One at I-10 and I-49, one at I-49 and I-20, and one at I-12 and I-55.
ETA: MAYBE one in Lake Charles.

But in MS as well?

Agreed, and really, 49/20 might be too close to the one in Terrell.

We had our chance and our politicians blew it. It’s very convenient for them to blame it on the flooding though.
Can confirm it was because of our politicians. It had nothing to do with the flood though

The frickers tried to dictate which contractors that Bucees would use to get tax incentives Bucees told them to frick off
Typical Louisiana political BS

Buccees is so overrated
It has the cheapest gas
The best service
The cleanest restrooms
And good food as well

What a sad existence.
If you can't get at least a little bit excited to see a Buc-ee's after being on the road for hours and needing to make a pit stop....well, that is a sad existence.

quote:$14 an hour starting pay for checkout staff - that's pretty damn good for that kind of work, especially in rural AL.
I was impressed by the amount they pay their workers tho
However, that means they can afford to be strict with their employees. My niece, who lives about 2 miles from the AL location, said a friend of hers lost his job for smoking on the premises - because one of the managers saw him lighting up in his car as he was driving out of the parking lot on his way home after his shift

My only complaint is you have to eat in the car. Picnic tables would be nice.
I drove to New Braunfels recently and stopped at four . Each seemed bigger than the last.

I have absolutely no problem with this. If you say no smoking on the premises, than that means no smoking.
there's always some turd who wants to "try" the boss. Bet no one else lights up till they get on the hwy. from now on.

Between Baytown location and one in Lake Charles would be around 100 miles. Would be a great choice.

Longest lines and people in my way trumps all those things. Plus I dont find myself having to shite while on the road as much as most of you

I love beef jerky and I find their over rated. Too tough

Double that
it needs that many to account for all the lazy fricks who pump their gas, then leave their car at the pump while they purchase their beaver nuggets and $0.79 diabetes juice.
