apples and oranges bro. You're living on acreage. probably in the woods. Near some tragic little town like Gloster. That's not the same as Houma.

don't get me wrong, Houma isn't great. But you can't compare Houma to the woods of Mississippi. It aint the same thing.

Feel free to go back, or go to any other states. Hell, leave the whole country. Nobody will miss you.

Apparently it was a great place in the 1940s, 50s and 60s

it was a great place to be a kid in the 70s/80s up until you were a junior or senior in high school. It got "limiting" at that point.

I don't care for it now for more than a weekend.

and that's if I'm playing golf or at the camp in Dularge.

Tiger that is the exact reason I moved. Was time for a change and after we sold the family business there was nothing holding me to the city anymore. Don’t get me wrong I definitely enjoyed growing up in Terrebonne parish.

Id love to live in Diamondhead

Some of my family from dtr lives there now. I grew up in BSL, and while it isn’t what it was pre-Katrina, it’s made a pretty good comeback.

The public schools that I saw while there make this school look like Ellender. All brand new buildings. All brand new baseball, football etc fields with astro turf.

Grew up on the East Side of Houma and live in Raceland. If you stay out of Alidore and away from 182 and the 1st light and you good.

"Tragic town like Gloster."
I have family from Gloster and would be offended except that description nails the place perfectly. No reason for it to exist.
