In Albuquerque right now, great place. So was Vernon, TX on the way here-population 11,000. Point is there are a lots of great places and Houma is to some people who were born and live there, like me. Find your place but don't trash others for being there.

You enjoy a slower pace of life than what's in Houma? Are you retarded?

I work in Houma, but from and still live in the South Lafourche area.

I guess someone thinks the 30 minute drive is too much for them.

I grew up in Houma. Back in the day, it was a pretty solid place to be a kid. The recreation system was awesome... everyone got to play football, baseball, and basketball for free. Fishing was god-level. Lots of crawfish and crab boils and parades.

I haven’t lived there since I was 17. And that was a LONG time ago. I loved my hometown and was proud of it, but now I see that despite the good things about it... I’m fortunate to have left. I needed to experience more of the world, and if you’re a person like that, then Houma is one of the worst places for you. Geographically, it’s a dead end. It’s sort of like a stagnant pond. It needs fresh water to flow through it.

Houma is where I lived when I first came to Louisiana. Met my wife there (no pics). She has family living in Raceland, Larose, Gheens, Lockport. I don't know why but I kind of like it down there. I go pretty often and am even part of the Krewe of Hercules.

Loads of trashy people though. Saw the worst of them when I used to bounce at a strip club on 182.

My favorite was when a few of your floats poached the strippers from shelly's. Someone from shelly's tried running them off the road. They get to my place and bring the girls inside. They were hefty. A fight broke out in the parking lot between two of the riders. My favorite part of that video was watching the biggest girl feel the need to run towards the fight. To do so she had to hop the railing on the patio. I was crying laughing
