Brags about owning a Porsche, too cheap to pay for Porsche service.

Because I know cars and prefer to work on them myself? You think a dealership is working on a 2001 model. I brought it one time to Brian Harris and had the excuse said to me that the computer can’t read the car because of the age and we won’t work on it. Why would I even want a mechanic touching my cars when they can’t even fix it unless a computer tells them what’s wrong. Plus a Porsche oil change is $250 and I’d rather use that for gas in my boat to fish.

I do it...it cost almost the exact same if not LESS than buying it myself at tire stores. They get you in to sell you other shite...which I ignore. Easily a great deal.

$85-$100 is normal for a Corvette, 6 quarts full synthetic, premium filter, out the door.

where? How many quarts? Synthetic or regular? What kind of filter?

It’s 80 to do mine at a place. But mine takes 8 quarts of full synthetic 0W-20 which is expensive.

I usually change it myself with 5w-30

I trust nobody making $8hr to touch my vehicles. Cross threaded drain plugs, shitty filters(if they even change it), and leaks. No thanks.

There's a difference between can't do and don't wanna screw around with it.

Anybody can do it, but it can be a pain in the arse.

I rather pay someone $70 than do it myself.

I used to do it myself when I had a car with a 4 banger and the filter was easy to get to.

Oil changes for new cars always run higher because the manufacturers want syntheticm to be used.

I still do it every 3000 miles; don't believe that shite about 10000 miles.

I get mine done at the dealership where I bought my truck and its $40. I assumed that was about as expensive as you can get. Who charges $100 for an oil change?

And they hand wash the car when finished.

Just found out mine does that. Rotates the tires too.

No way in the world would I ever change my oil again.

Maybe if you're running Royal Purple.

Which no manufacturer requires.

I pay $37.00 for an oil change they also check the air in my tires and all my fluids. I buy 5 oil changes and my 6th one is free. They also give me a print out of the the service record.

Being a truck owner the 5 quart jugs piss me off as they always want way more for a single. Like 28 bux for the 5 and 9 or 10 for the single.

I buy two 5 quarts and use the second over time but it's annoying.

McLaren puts the cost of an oil change alone at $8,000. Overall, the automaker says that annual maintenance costs will run you about $30,000. Sorry, not taking the McLaren to 5 Minute Oil Change.

Depends on how much oil yours takes. And I get what's recommended by the manufacturer. I only have to get one a year. But it's rt at $100 and I get a free car wash with it.
