This is fixable. 1. When Roger Goodell retires, the next commissioner needs to go heavy on transparency. Define every rule, like PI, and what a catch is and enforce it. Overrule poorly thrown flags, if replay shows the opposite, then enforce it.

College needs another 5-6 years for laws to catch up, conferences to settle and the playoff system to be fully established and defined.College football is in the same era as the 1910’s - 1920’s, incorporating such rules as the forward pass, teams leaving and forming new conferences… see the SEC formation. This current form of college football isn’t permanent, but it will be a rough 10-15 year era.
