Gotta be tough spending just $425 on food in L.A.
I have trouble doing that in Baton Rouge.

Not really. That is $15 a day. Big cities have tons of farmers markets. She probably gets fresh cheap veggies and doesnt eat out. Very plausible.

I call BS.

$70.00 for a car? Is that gas, car note, oil changes, tires and regular maintenance? I think gas in Cali is $4.50 a gallon. It makes a lot of sense that her freelance business COSTS her $50.00 a month....

$290 for miscellaneous probably includes activities. But you’re in LA. You can drive out to the beach for free anytime you want

Unless you really like the beach, that shite would get old quick

And that $290 includes a $70 facial and shite for her dog

I refuse to believe a 20 something in LA is spending less than $200 a month on entertainment

All the example budgets are ridiculous. I don't know a single person who lives like this.

She's Australian not American so maybe she just has different priorities. She paid cash for her car her side gig is video editing probably on a Macbook which she also already paid for. Not a bad set up if you can afford it.

Besides her 9-to-5, Parkinson spends up to 15 hours a week working on freelance video editing projects. She charges $20-$30 an hour and the side hustle earns her an extra $5,000 a year after taxes.

She's way ahead of the game compared to most people her age, especially considering she has considered a budget at all, not just see all money in her account as disposable income.

So you’re telling me that a 22 year old living in one of the most ritzy cities in the world doesn’t leave her apartment outside of working hours ever?

I don’t and will never buy that

If you read between the lines, it's all family money. Parents paid for college and she used "graduation money" to pay for a $17k car. I don't know about you, but I didn't get that kind of scratch for graduating from college.

why not spend a little more on your dog and less on other dogs. Dog food cost me $20 a month.

Donations: $120 to the local animal shelter
