It's not controversial, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. And guess what--it's not.

Why is that a controversial position?

Why don’t you go ahead and post your tax return here on TD? The rest of us have a right to see who’s funding you.

You think there would be a W-2 or 1099 from "Russia" in there?

Because it’s not required by law. This is just an attempt to keep any outsider from ever deciding to run for election. They want career politicians.

What does this even mean?

Go look at his campaign donations.

I’d be ok with being forced to, post being in office and only why he is in office. So you’d get 2017 and 2018... however, your basis is dumb, which form would you use to claim illegal foreign donations

I am amazed none of the crooks inside the IRS have leaked it yet.

How about : as an American I have a right to see my President’s education/background to make sure that he isn’t lying about what he knows.... can I see Obama’s college transcripts?

Check our his financial statements -

IF he is doing nothing illegal, it is none of your business. He owns property - he makes money because of the property he owns - end of story.

What you are saying is that you want to cherry - pick on the 'loopholes' he uses to minimize the taxes he pays.

LOOPHOLES are LEGAL - they are put in the law by CONGRESS. The IRS is given the authority to see that the use of the loopholes are proper. They have been auditing him for 30 years and have apparently found no violations.

Your displeasure is with the IRS - because they have not done your dirty work - even during the OBAMA administration they could not manage to find anything to charge him with.

Now you want MAXINE WATERs et all to go thru his deduction line by line to see if maybe he shows a personal preference for some types of charities vs YOUR type of charity -

It is another witch hunt.

BTW - where you upset that Bill Clinton took a deduction for donating his used underwear (instead of throwing them away) to 'charity' ???? Rumor is that he didn't even wash the spittle off them before making his 'donation.'

How Trump has run his business is none of you business. If you don't like him, you can choose not to vote for him and you can choose not to do business with anything that he is associated with. You can even leave the country if you cannot stand the fact that the rest of America wanted him to be POTUS.

Take a stand - please don't tell us to fall in line with the Nadlers/Waters/AOCs of the world.

go piss up a rope.

Trumps net worth has actually decreased while being president.... how many other presidents did that happen to? Not Obama and certainly not Clinton.

It was not in the rules to run for President.

If house and the senate make it a rule for every candidate running for office to show their tax returns that would be different.

So what line on a tax return does that show up?
1. Trump is entirely within his rights in declining to release his tax returns.

2. Have you ever received a 1099?

Why should we not see all politicians tax returns ? I have no problem making him show his tax returns from his time in office if everyone in the house and senate do the same .

It isn’t controversial and has been the case with every president since Nixon. Trump people are bizarre in how far they will go to shield Trump from actual oversight.
