Getting there from Ascension means that you'll get slammed by traffic either coming or going. You can't fix that.

I enjoyed it. It was in good shape a couple of months ago. Hole #11 might be the hardest par 4 in the state.

Played it several times back when Amedee was there
I enjoyed it and remember it to be in good shape. Have a playing partner moving to BR and plan to meet him there to play soon

One of my favorite tracks in South Louisiana. Not many changes I’d make. Wish I lived 30 mins closer.

Chop down that damn tree on the left on the opening tee shot. Damn thing is a ball magnet.
It seems they have started to address the bunkers which were subpar. Other than traffic issues, I have enjoyed every round out there. Good people, good course, good price.

Is the Plaquemine ferry still in operation? Takes you right to the course from ascension.

Course is in shite condition. Can’t putt on the greens. More weeds in they fairways than I have ever seen and was rock hard two days ago.

Thanks want happens when you switch to a Golf Management Company, they are worried about their bottom line, and not concerned about the product.

Have been a member there for 5 years.
Generally, a really good course. Traps have always been substandard. Several fairway traps need to be filled in (#6 on the right, and #17 on the left). Shouldn't be in a trap AND be blocked by trees. Some of the pampas bushes have been taken out. There are a few more that could go.
Greens are usually OK, waiting for the grass to come in this year.
Best draining course in the BR area. There has to be lots of rain for carts to be on path.
Layout is great. It is a driving course. Keep it in the fairway, and you usually score well.

That seems to be a theme on all the public courses in BR area right now
