I would advise him to hide in a foxhole and never say a single thing unless the court forces him to. Lately, that appears to be his strategy. Nothing good will come of Will Wade speaking. Not to anyone.

Maybe he'll have his day in court, but that's uncertain. Just shut up until then.

Assuming guilt, you're right. I'm not making that assumption at this point. Considering Smart's reinstatement, I don't think it is reasonable for anyone to assume Wade is guilty. OTOH, until we hear Wade's account, I don't think it is reasonable to assume innocence either.

But again, there is a problem pursuing things the way you suggest. It exposes one to a perjury trap. Perjury traps create guilt where there was none previously. So if an innocent man desires to go to prison, discussing upcoming testimony with multiple people including potential adversaries is the route he should take.

Wade could do that. It would be terribly ill-advised, he could do it though.

There may be some loophole that clears Wade. But let’s all be honest here. We know what was going on

No, we dont. We haven't even heard the full, un-edited version of the tapes. We simply need to wait until all the facts are out. NOT snippets of transcripts leaked to the media.

What crime is Wade being charged with? Answer that and you realize how fricking dumb your statement is.

Remember the video of the kid from Covington High School? It was a snippet out of context and the media troglodytes universally condemned the kid. Until the whole video and context was released. Almost no one has even personally heard this tape of Wade. A snippet was played for a reporter by someone WITH AN AGENDA who only wanted that part heard.

If it were taken out of context, Wade would be screaming from the roof tops. Two weeks later, none of that.

Seems pretty close to screaming.... https://twitter.com/RossDellenger/status/1106187821134606337/photo/1

As to more comments from Wade..Do you think it is wise to not listen to your attorney? Did you even graduate high school, Lester Earl? Or did you get your GED while serving time for having certain videos on your computer?

The one thing I can say about the conversation is it sounds a whole lot like locker room talk which normally takes on some exaggeration.

Please note people that the conversation is not being had with Wade's bag guy. This middle man isn't Wade's middle man. LSU is Nike and this conversation is with an Addidas rep.

It sounds to me they were just bullshitting about the process.

With that being said, Could Wade be guilty as the conversation seems to say? Sure. Could he have been a young guy trying to make it sound like he's doing all this stuff for "street cred"? Definitely.

There's comments like the Rookie League minimum that makes me believe he is at least exaggerating. What's to say that it's not completely fabricated to talk shop about the process with this guy?

The most you can get out of the conversation is that Wade should and will be investigated, but nothing in the conversation makes me believe that Wade definitely participates in this type of activity.

There is nothing to be hush about if everything was taken out of context. Period. Stop dreaming.

they can’t. Everyone here knows Wade paid players, they just like the winning so much they’re making every excuse in the book. And they’re all hypocrites. If Wade coached for Bama, Florida, etc, this board would be DESTROYING him as a cheater and SCREAMING for him to be fired and for the school to get put on massive probation. I’ve always known this board had a lot of blind homers, but this situation has really disheartened me about our fans. Wades a cheater, and yet 90% of this board is defending him. Its disgraceful.

It tells me people are capable of lying to themselves and others more than I thought they could. It sucks.

I doubt seriously it was referencing a scholarship offer.

However I, and others, see where it would be easily claimed to be that. You DO have to present "offers" of financial aid to every scholarship player. That is just a fact. If you are going to parse words, which is what lawyers do, then parse them in a way that is favorable.

You definitely don't assume the worst, publicly, and then sharpen the ax for your executioner. You assume the worst, privately, and then present your executioner with a very dull ax with ebola on the handle.

1) what happened to innocent until proven guilty

2) how can anyone not think that these tales could be spliced?

They released what they wanted to release and what parts they wanted released.

I don't think anyone is actually defending the tapes...... It's not about what you know, it's about what you can prove. I think most people are making the argument that you can't prove he did anything wrong at this point.

Will cannot reveal because of pending trial.

I haven’t read this anywhere. You seem to be referencing a gag order from a judge. But no one seems to be reporting such a thing.

Will’s attorneys might prefer that he not talk about it to prevent their client from incriminating himself OR costing him money if his admissions void his contract.

But outside of that, he most certainly can discuss it and it has nothing to do with a pending trial.

You didn’t want to throw in free oxygen and water while you’re at it?

That’s a weak arse offer. Every school can offer that.

Why is there a need to defend the undiscernable meaning of his words?

Any criticism of Wade requires speculation and a super ability to infer.

Why?

Because how many times do we have to have these huge cases where people rush to judgement only to find out the real story was different from the narrative?

Sandmann and the Native
Central Park jogger
Shirley Sherrod
Duke Lacrosse...Ehem...EHEM
Tawana Brawley
Susan Smith
President Hillary Clinton

How hard is it for people to just wait till all the facts come out? I understand us as fans having conversations about it but for people in a position of power to actually be reacting to it in a very real way is absolutely ludicrous. And that's what the fans are actually pissed off about. This is just another in a long list of Joe Alleva/FKing frick ups. This shitstorm has been brewing for a long time.

There are actually several posters here who have defended Will Wade yet were willing to trade his firing for subsequent firing of those two clowns. That's how bad people want them away from LSU.
