In The Blind Side, the Coaches, including Ole Miss Coach O were making “strong arse offers” to Oher’s little brother to lead the team to the stadium or out onto the field.

As to the rookie minimum.. i got nuthin’... maybe the entire scholly package refers to that.

Obviously a joke. Perhaps the whole conversation was.

They only released out-of-context snippets. Where's the rest of the conversation? Where are the other calls?

Until the actual phone call is released, or an official transcript of the whole conversation, then this is all hearsay and bullshite.

Easy, because I could not care less of players get something. The NCAA, the schools, the coaches all make millions I’m fine with the players getting some. While most LSU fans were bashing Auburn and “Scam” Newton, my thought was could we have offered $225K?

Are scholarships given out to players family members?

If my son or daughter received an athletic scholarship, I would absolutely consider it a scholarship to me and my wife because the school is picking up my tab. That’s a lot of money saved for me, so I guess it would be “tilted” in my favor.

it "was reported" that Dawkins was recorded calling Wade 3 times.

Obviously, the number 3 is important. Public transcripts are out there for 1 of them from the first trial. A 2nd one is the one leaked by the defense team through yahoo (the one in question). So there is likely a 3rd. Why hasn't it leaked? Exculpatory? Provides context? Sitting on it because it is the worst? Maybe because there's still a chance it will be deemed admissible later so no reason to leak? Who knows.

The other important factoid, that is important and relevant to both the DOJ and NCAA is that Dawkins (purportedly for Adidas with LSU being a Nike school) initiated all 3 contacts. Which means Wade (and thus LSU) can claim, both, that it did not solicit Dawkins AND, since he is guilty of acting on behalf of Adidas, he had no financial motivation to be doing so.

And if it were taken in context, Smart would never have been reinstated. There's that damn conundrum again.

But you go right ahead convicting the man. You go, LesterEarl.

I'm caught on tape about "seeing a man about a horse." Am I trying to purchase the new Kentucky Derby winner or am I going to the bathroom? Maybe......maybe not. You can be pretty sure of what I mean but there isn't proof of one over the other.

You're really reaching here. WW was obviously talking about extra $ for the family. Only way it would not be true is if yahoo only released bits that made it sound that way. Innocent until proven guilty... If we are going off of what was released though...he's guilty as frick and anyone that says otherwise is no longer allowed to bitch about bama or anyone else cheating. If bama had this going on in their football program ya'll would be losing your minds with the "death penalty" chants and billboards.

Would you rather just fire the coach that has made our team exciting to watch again over the same thing other top programs are doing or just let it play out and hope we keep him?

Would you rather go back to being the Vandy of basketball again?

You tell me?

If the glove don't fit you must acquit. That's how I would defend him.

Really?
Well gosh tiger_nutz, you'd better get that "fact" right over to FKing's office. Because they must have missed the "fact" "WW was obviously talking about extra $ for the family" when
THEY REINSTATED JAVONTE SMART.
quote:

LSU associate athletic director Robert Munson said Monday there still have been no findings or irregularities with Smart's recruitment by Wade, but the inquiry is ongoing. Smart, though, will remain cleared to play unless LSU or the NCAA gleans something new that is against NCAA rules or irregular about Smart's recruitment.

So tiger_nutz, here is Robert Munson's email: robertm@LSU.edu.
His Dept phone number is on the link.

Please send him a note or give him a call right away, because you clearly have "obvious" facts he and the LSU Administration are unaware of.

You can connect the dots and assume that, but it's all about what can be proved.

Bama does have this going on in their program. The difference is, their administration turns a blind eye and Saban is very smart about it. I remember speaking to one of Cam Robinson's high school football coaches after he committed to Bama. I asked, "Why did he choose Bama over LSU?" Without skipping a beat, his coach said, "More money. Do you really think he can afford that brand new truck he is driving? His mom is not working and hasn't in months, she just wants someone to give her a handout." Take it FWIW, but this shite happens everywhere.

They reinstated Smart because he went and talked to them and probably told them nothing happened...As of now there is no evidence that anything did, so he is reinstated.

If wade does the same thing..he is back coaching...but he has not...why? probably because his lawyer has told him not to say anything until they know what they got on him.

If you are really that naive about that statement to not know what WW was talking about then wow...I bet your wife bangs a different dude every weekend and you believe her when she tells you she went to the grocery store for the 4th time this week and came back with no groceries.

If they do not have anything else on WW then he will be back because even though it is OBVIOUS what he was talking about he does not flat out say it. With no other evidence, he can say whatever he wants.

If there is more evidence that does come out...he will obviously be fired.

again...he has not met with the administration because he does not know what all they have... likely lawyer advised

take off the P&G glasses and come out from under your rock dipshit

I agree 100%...that is why WW has not met with the admins. He does not know what hard evidence they have. If that shitty wiretap is all they have then he can get away with it. If there is more...he's done for.

My main point here is that if Saban got caught up like this...this board would be losing their minds for him to be fired. You can't look at what was released and really tell yourself "nothing to see here"

Judging from the “I want to get clicks at any cost” mentality of the press, I am skeptical of just about everything claimed in the media. “News” is cherry picked out of context, spliced together, and manipulated all the time. I for one will withhold judgment.

NO !

His lawyer has told him not to undergo interrogation concerning anything relevant to his probable Federal testimony next month. Please dear God, you cannot be so stupid as to not recognize prudence in that advise under these circumstances. During the trial, Wade would/will answer questions under penalty of perjury. Once accomplished, and with the trial behind him, Wade could sit with whomever and answer additional questions if there were any.
