Santa Fe, NM? Family has never been to Colorado. I didn't realize Santa Fe was a good place for skiing...

I will be driving a 4wd truck as well. I figured as long as I used some common sense and watched the weather I would be fine. Also have a strong cb radio I'll have on as well. Used to do commercial hauling across country just never really made it up north in the snow...

How is the drive in the middle of the winter? Or is it ill advised? I have flown into Denver in the past and drove to Vail and Beaver Creek before. Roads always seem to be kept up. I am planning to possibly drive into Denver for this trip ...
