Great job Seattle. You’ll be Detroit in no time!!

They think they are taxing the corporations...
Employees will be the ones that feel the consequences most. A tax on jobs...whodathunkit?

It truly is the best form of government. It's just never been done correctly. One day, it'll be done right and we'll all see.

Amazon released this statement:
I'm gonna laugh so hard if/when they close up shop and move elsewhere.

“We are disappointed by today’s City Council decision to introduce a tax on jobs,” Amazon said in a statement. “While we have resumed construction planning for Block 18, we remain very apprehensive about the future created by the council’s hostile approach and rhetoric toward larger businesses, which forces us to question our growth here.”

If people think the moral crusaders are just on the right, they haven't been paying attention.

The worst part is that these socialist idiots will leave Seattle and move to places like TX and take their voting habits with them.

Socialism always fails when they run out of someone else’s money

This is what happens when success is demonized by the left.
Can’t wait to see where they move. I wish Clinton MS would give the old WorldCom building to amazon as a way to get some of that operation in MS

How would this work for a company like Boeing who is headquartered in Illinois and employees thousands in Seattle?
Can the Seattle city council think it's wise to tax an out of state entity on the number of jobs it creates in their area?
They cried like school girls when Boeing opened facilities in South Carlina.
These people are insane.

Amazon released this statement:
You forgot this part
quote:
City of Seattle revenues have grown dramatically from $2.8 billion in 2010 to $4.2 billion in 2017, and they will be even higher in 2018. This revenue increase far outpaces the Seattle population increase over the same time period. The city does not have a revenue problem — it has a spending efficiency problem. We are highly uncertain whether the city council’s anti-business positions or its spending inefficiency will change for the better.”
Lmao. Amazon is telling it like it is.

You might ought to question yourselves for being such liberal pussies and empowering these fricking idiots.
Congrats on fricking yourselves and your employees.

About a billion Seattle companies will suddenly buy a condo and move their "main office" to Texas

Along with the tax Monday, the council approved a nonbinding resolution that calls for spending 66 percent of the new money on affordable housing
They're not even spending all of the revenue on the problem they claim the tax is to address.

I saw yesterday's thread on this.
Bless their hearts.

More overall they are going to do is drive housing costs by entering government into The Fray

They are "telling it like it is" now... but they, meaning their owners, have been behind all this liberal BS for some time... I am glad they are finally reaping the whirlwind they have sown...

Just when the Federal Government does something right, Local Government says, "hold my beer" and fricks it back up.
Seattle deserves this.
Seattle deserves this.
