Day spa package.

Serious pampering and I'm sure she could use it

Congrats but don’t go overboard. You’ll set too high of a bar for future Mothers Days.

Screw that. There will never be a first Mother’s Day again. And, to the poster suggesting that they clearly are not married or cannot communicate with the mother of their children. Explain it to the mother before next year’s Mother’s Day or even immediately after this one. Tell her things won’t always be this nice for Mother’s Day, but youbwanted the first on to be special.

Maybe buy her a photo session for her and the baby, or for the 3 of you

This is my vote (if y'all haven't done a professional shoot).

Buy her a crock pot or a sammich maker. She'll love it.

Willow Tree figurine. Maybe a mother with child or mother and father with child. And if you've lost babies, they have angel figurines. Also, Kendra Scott makes pretty birthstone jewelry.

Take the kid for the day and send her somewhere.

Easy and she'll love it more than anything else.

My wife would have hated that. Why would she want to spend mother's day away from her child?

Separate the mother from her kids and make her be alone on Mother’s Day???

Sounds like a great idea. On Mother’s Day

My husband thought of a spa day so I could get a break. I told him wait a few years. Right now I have a super snuggly newborn that I never want to leave. But every woman is different.

Buy something small and sentimental if you feel the need to purchase a gift, but the best thing is to just give her the day to relax with her baby. Take care of housework, cooking, chores, etc & Just let her focus on your little bundle of joy. Congrats!

Buy her some new pots, pans, and maybe a nice cookbook. Subtle reminder that just because she might be taking care of the baby, its not an excuse for dinner not to be ready when you get home from work
