Baby birthstone jewelry. Ring, bracelet, necklace, earrings. Single pearl bracelet to signify the baby.
God willing if you’re lucky, you can stack said birthstone jewelry with the next baby’s birthstone.
I’ve been there and I am happy for the both of you. Happy mother’s day.

Plan for a babysitter for the entire day, take off Monday, and procure a hotel room and an 8ball.
Take her to a nice Brunch for a boudin omelet and 12 mimosas.
Then chop a few rails in the car and head to Alex Box to see us sweep Bama at 2pm.
After the game take her to the L'Auberge and check in. Do some rails off her arse and her do one off your cock. Then go for a swim on the roof top pool.
About 8pm, do 3 rails off her titties and she do 2 off your cock and head to the craps table.
Let her roll the dice and have a good time.
Go back to the room, put some blow up her booty hole, and practice for next baby till daylight.
Go home to baby and enjoy the hangover together. Netflix and chill all day.

Put together a collage of photos from 1st year and have matted and framed.
Purchase a necklace with a diamond, her birthstone and your childs birthstone.

Is your wife fixing dinner every night, then doing the dishes among other chores? Having someone do the dishes every night for two weeks or so is like being on vacation!!!

You gave her a child
If that is not enough, you chose poorly

She is not your mother, not your problem

I already did this with his wife while they were engaged. If he tried to repeat it, it may bring back awkward memories for her.

No. You chose poorly if she expects something extravagant. And she chose poorly if you can't do something (even small) for her. Yes, a child is a gift, especially after infertility. But why not frame a nice picture for her, cook her dinner and do the dishes. Super easy and will go a long way.

Buy her a steak and lick her nethers.

What if the infertility was on the guy's part and they had to use donor sperm?
Nothing wrong with doing something to make the day memorable for her. A day she has likely thought of for a long time. Doesn't have to cost a fortune either.

If I wanted to pay someone to do my dishes I wouldn't have gotten married

The point is that OP felt need to let everyone know that he could not mess this up
That implies pretty significant expectations
Mother's day and Father's day are much like Valentine's day. Do it right all year, and that specific day is like any other

If you were lucky enough to get a photo of her holding the newborn it makes an awesome mother’s day present. Not talking about a picture where she posed. One that you or a family member took where she is looking at the baby with sheer joy like no one else is around. That is a golden gift.
Trust me. My wife has the photo I just describedtaken a few minutes after birth. She never knew about it or saw it until mother’s day.

Just means he realizes this is important to his wife.
When you are dealing with infertility and haven't had a child yet...Mother's Day is a tough day. You wonder if you will ever get to be the one being celebrated that day. While this woman may not be expecting some huge ordeal made about it...I'm sure she has at least thought "hey...this is my first year to be a mom on Mother's day".
If I have a kid...better believe I'm gonna do something special for my husband for his first Father's day.

Great idea!
Agreed. That guy gets it. I think most women would tear up if they got a Mother's day gift like that. 1)It's a great idea 2)reinforces to them how lucky they are to have such a sweet and thoughtful spouse.

First Mothers Day was small because my son was only two days old at the time so I got flowers and a card. The next year I got her a ring with my sons birth stones that matched her wedding band

Look, bitches. Just because you find the unicorn of a man out there with just enough estrogen to a be a thoughtful little bitch of a husband without secretly craving cocks in his holes at night when you're asleep, don't be like "this guy gets it".
Because that shite ain't normal and most good husbands will just buy a spa day or regular gifts for his wife.
And some dumbasses will do what I proposed(and MAY have done IRL).
