Bought it with 140,000 for 6K in 2004 and drove it for 9 years and sold it for 3K in 2014.

I don't put a lot of miles on a car. After 8-10 years, I am just ready for a new car.

i have problems i think

i kept my 87 accord for 10+ years and now i've had my 97 4runner for 15+ years...

my problem is i fix things that i find wrong (door trim, new stick shift knob, random shite like that..) along with basic mechanical work and eventually i feel like i 'know' my car inside and out and simply don't want to trade it for an unknown.

the 4runner at this point feels more like a bunch of legos that i could put back together no matter what happens to it. the whole 'i can fix it and get home' mentality.

i look at the new computer-ized crap and i see $$$ whenever something goes wrong. i dont need LED instruments and TV screens in a car that i'm hauling trash to the dump in and thats getting door dings in the parking lot at work.

'03 Silverado--275,000 miles

Drove it until 2014 when I gave it to my son to drive to school. Traded it back from him for my 2010 Silverado when he went off to college in 2016 so he'd have something a little more reliable. Within the next week it developed a coolant leak, the a/c went out, turn signal switch went out. The week after that it developed an oil leak. I drove it like that for a year until I decided to by a 2017 Sierra.

2006 Ford E150.

I keep the fluids clean and check my compression every 10k.
The Ford 4.6 is an underrated engine. No leaks, clean.

My Tacoma has 80k less miles.

2000 ford expedition with the 5.4L.
Less than 2000 miles into it I had the entire transmission replaced. After that, nothing until 251k and I blew a head gasket. Sold it for 6k as is.

Current daily driver is 2009 Corolla with 155k. I put 600 miles a weekend on it plus work commute

‘06 4Runner 4WD - 230K and still going strong.

Just priced a new paint job and it’s $4K, about what the Kelly BB is....now debating if it’s worth the investment versus getting a new one.

Damn!
Right now I'm driving one with 165,000 miles. AC went out a few months ago and I'm starting to smell oil burning a little. I'm ready to trade it in since I drive 60 miles each way to work

These things are built like a tank. If you take care of them, they'll last a lifetime. Know a dude with over a million on his.
