My mistake, you are correct it's 30'on each side for a total of 60'. I will correct the OP
Retaining wall replacement Quote help
Posted by SCndaBR on 8/29/23 at 5:42 pm
I'm having a hard time getting contractors to follow through after meetings. I finally got one of the bigger companies to supply a quote. It seems high to me after Google research.
Two retaining walls along side a driveway. Each are 30' long, 3' high, and 8" thick. Quote is for poured concrete, demo of existing walls, excavation of one side to push the wall back a foot, pour driveway pad where excavation happened, and set of poured steps in one wall.Total coat quoted is $8345. I'm in SC.
Straight from the Quote below.
1. Demo out and haul off old concrete on left and right of drive a distance of 30’ on each side that borders driveway. $650
2. Excavate back even with column on right side. $575
3. Form Up and pour new concrete sides 30’ X 8’’ wide on either side of drive. $5,650
4. Pour new steps on left drive to provide access to yard. $750
5. Pour new driveway at right where wall moved over. $720
Total Project Cost ———> $8,345

It's summer. More people are outside and not indoors so colds go down.
Ended up getting the full size insert. Figured I can always use a section of a big griddle, but can't add sqft if I don't have it.
Griddle insert size?

I am a new owner of a Weber Genesis 335. I want to get the griddle insert but can't decide what size to get. They offer a full insert and a 2/3 insert. Does anyone have recommendations or advise in which to get? I know it depends on each situation. Does the full size insert really make a difference?

I get tested monthly. Part of my job is to be a DEA licensed distributor/handler for Pharmaceuticals. Never know when it's coming. They still keep it random.
Are y'all all dumb? I've worked in Pharmaceutical research my entire career. Every drug on the market is tested in clinical trials on beagles. It's not just Fauci you MAGA retards. Give me all your down votes.:doublebird:

Oh snap! I forgot we beat them!
Not in BTR anymore but $85 quarterly for spray, granules, and rodent. No clue if this was even a good deal but they got me with the upsale.

Meh
Piers. Everything I've read recommends sanding to bare wood to treat.

How screwed am I? Just found trails in two bedrooms in our heart pine flooring. Just had the floors refinished barely a years ago. Haven't seen any dust piles but the holes don't have sealant in them. House is 100 years old and original flooring.
Hopefully we can get out of the noon time slots to use this.

Electricians: Adding outdoor outlet
Posted by SCndaBR on 12/31/21 at 10:26 am
I am wanting to add an additional outdoor outlet beside my front door. Currently I have only 1 outlet in the front that is a good 20+ ft away from the door. This current outlet is wired to the guest bath outlet and on a GFIC breaker at the box. Total currently is two outlet on the 20 amp GFIC breaker.
Can I add another outlet to this circuit and does it need to be a GFIC outlet? Looking at running holiday decorations off the new outlet. Also would two outlets be pushing the limit?
