re: Who had a better career, better catalog of music, The Eagles or Aerosmith? - ThePenIsMightier
70s Aerosmith vs. 70s Eagles straight up - I think Aerosmith wins. But, if we're talking entire career, Aerosmith takes a big hit because of their 80s and 90s output and probably makes it a push....

re: Nearly 48 million tune in for Biden's SOTU speech - ThePenIsMightier
Only 27 million tuned in for Biden's speech last night
It says only 27 million people watched Biden's speech last year not last night. It was probably less than that....

re: New Zach Bryan song "From Austin" - ThePenIsMightier
I thought it was through youtube, but whatever. He released a few songs that went viral. I thought some of his songs were really good and his lyrics were great at capturing feelings and are pretty insightful for his age. He's definitely a stark contrast to mainstream Nashville pop. I fell like he's ...

re: Do you consider Key West the Caribbean? - ThePenIsMightier
Some people say that New Orleans is actually the Northernmost point of the Caribbean. [link=(https://xulamasscomm.omeka.net/exhibits/show/new-orleans-and-latin-america-#:~:text=New%20Orleans%20is%20considered%20the,New%20France%20into%20North%20America.)]My NOLA My Story[/link]...

re: Neil Young linked to Pfizer - ThePenIsMightier
Also, Neil Young tried and failed with the Pono music service several years ago. So, he's probably still a little salty about music streaming services in general....

re: What songs make you just break down and cry? - ThePenIsMightier
Red Sovine can always get me with his voice. If you want to really test your limits, there's an album called A Crow Looked at Me by Mount Eerie. It's about the death of his wife from cancer and how he and his young daughter dealt with the experience. It's extremely dark and emotional....

re: Brief filed by FOP: Cops should be judged differently from civilians in use of force. - ThePenIsMightier
This cop basically went Leroy Jenkins on the guy. He shouted put down the gun four times in eleven seconds to a suicidal man. If I was in that situation and in that state of mind, I don't think I could physiologically comply to that demand....

re: Attempting to get into Classic Rock - Where do I start? - ThePenIsMightier
I'm pretty diverse there. It's probably easier to list what I don't like. I like folk stuff, jazz, some young people R&B stuff like Khalid, old school country (not 90's country though), I enjoy some softer rock like some Fleetwood Mac songs or "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. All of that to sa...

re: Can someone explain how tour booking works and towns the band plays? - ThePenIsMightier
I think it depends on demographics too. They have a lot of data and know how many fans they have in a given area, radio play, etc. If you're a fan of jam bands, for example, then don't expect a show in North Louisiana because there just aren't many fans of that genre in that area. ...

re: Cody Jinks in Shreveport on JAN 15 - ThePenIsMightier
Yes. Saw him the last time he played there. I love the venue. It's my favorite in Shreveport. His shows are pretty high energy and fun. Only thing about Municipal is that the seats in the upper level are pretty close together. If you're in Orchestra or Floor, you should be fine. Have fun!...
