As this problem grows it's time to hit them in the pocketbook. When I moved back to Texas, I would still drive 8 hours to and from for 4-5 games a year. I'd leave work Friday afternoon and hit the road. It's an ordeal now. I feel like in order to enjoy game day, I have to wake up and be out the door of a hotel room around 8:30 am. Then it's a guess as to where the hell I get to park and how much it will be.
I could care less about concessions, but I know some people do. The fact that LSU/Aramark can't stock stands is idiotic.
The price gouging for parking is truly a shame. All of the higher ups from frick King Alexander to that shitbag Alleva deserve a piece of the fans' mind. LSU is much bigger than them, and will be here well after they are dead and buried.
I think the solution is simple...take a game like Chattanooga, and simply boycott it. Let the lots sit empty, the concession stands dead, and the tickets unused. When speaking of things that are unreasonable, I don't think a boycott of a game like that is beyond reason.

TRIGGERED!
You are a pathetic little man with penis envy. Do you really suck in all phases of your life or just the sports phase here? Look, just because your 7-11 manager salary cannot afford nice things quit playing the victim. BE A MAN. nut up pussy. I have already dropped half my season tix. I am not bitching one bit. I will be priced our eventually but i will enjoy it until it happens. I love my parking pass. As long as LSU makes sure people on campus have tix to the game IDGAF how they do parking moving forward. It gets rid of much traffic and lots of trash especially along nicholson as i have elaborated about before.
I agree with plenty here who would rather stay home in the AC watching a HD TV with bathrooms and food and drinks of their choice in their lazyboy. nothing wrong with that. nut up and pay up and go to games or stay home and quit bitching. make your choice.

The unnecessary south endzone expansion seemed to be when a lot of things started to change.

yeah i think adding all that may have not been a wise idea. traffic last year was great for me. it was the worst for us back in 2013 and 2014.

It's unrealistic.

The south expansion was added only for the club seats. I am curious if some of the recent changes are to pay that project off.

I don't know, last night was about as empty as I've seen it for a home opener. It wasn't a boycott, but people are definitely saying no thanks in significant numbers. In addition to the 5000+ tickets they didn't sell, tens of thousands didn't show up. Crappy competition and growing challenges with attending games is definitely having an impact (along with every game being on TV). And last night was the best weather I ever remember for a home opener and just perfect weather in general.

What blows my mind about this whole ordeal is the entire thought process. They're struggling to fill seats, so they make it MORE cost prohibitive to attend.
This should've happened after Bertman left, but Alleva not only retained a lot of the incompetents, but made things much worse with his hires and policies............

Asked for more jalapeños for my nachos. Told that's the portion. sad...
Oh shite. I just realized something.
I watch football games at home, but go to plenty basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field.
Aramark has taken over all concessions, so that means no self-serve jalapeños anywhere--just the small portion they give you.
Damn.

That money is supposed to come from paying Orgeron less.

After 15 years of watching the game day, and in game, experience deteriorate, and get too expensive to justify, I did not renew my 4 tix, and will watch for free in my den. My memories of what LSU games once were to me and my family will have to suffice. The LSU admin is out of touch and WAY too greedy. They ruined an incredible tradition.
Not enough bang for my buck now.
I don't have parking problems at all, (Park for free every game in the Law School lot) but the in-stadium experience has deteriorated too greatly.
NOT watching LSU play Chattanooga or Towson or Idaho or Southeast Missouri State Polytechnic Institute.
I'm NOT listening to that PIM. It detracts from TGBFTL This is college football, not the freaking NFL.
Too many Corporate Season Tickets being used by people that could care less about both the football team and the university. It's just something for them to do on a Saturday Night in Baton Rouge. That's why the stadium empties out at half-time. (Shite, at least watch TGBFTL show) They leave because they have no emotional connection to anything at LSU and just want to get the heck out of there to beat the traffic clusterfrick.
Like other long-time attendees, (LSU Alum and GBFTL Alum) I'm just glad I was in that stadium when it was worth attending every game. Hey, we even used to play USC and Florida State and Miami and Notre Dame and Ohio State in Tiger Stadium.
Apparently, our current AD (And his incompetent X-LSU football player assistant) don't have the negotiation skills to get any Top 25 teams in here on a regular basis. BTW, I'd much rather see La. Tech, Tulane and the Ramblin Acadians from Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Louisville in Tiger Stadium every year than the recent slate of non-conference out of state sisters of the poor schools that we've been subjected to............

quote:"Reduced Some" is not good enough. "Eliminated Entirely" is the only acceptable solution.
On the bright side, piped in music between plays seems to be reduced some.
Looks like it's going to take a Lawsuit for the LSUAD to get the message...........

Remember LSU is run by state contracts and Aramark won the bid process. LSU had no choice but to go with them. So now LSU has to funnel all the complaints to them to get it fixed.

Whomever is in charge needs to be fired. I went to a couple of games last year and just felt like I was robbed, so instead of wasting my time driving up there, finding free parking (apparently the levee parking isn't free anymore WTF), walking to the tailgate, farting around, watching the game, taking an hour or two just to hit the interstate, and getting back home late I'm just going to watch the game at home.

The downside of playing night games against crappy opponents is that people will leave at half time. Those are usually the games you bring the kids too and who wants to stay to watch LSU put up 4 more touchdowns on (insert random rent a win team) and then get home at 2am. Corporate tickets aren't the reason people leave early.
