Lol, I find free tickets outside the stadium all the time. I never pay for parking. I usually don't get concessions unless it's water. I record and rewatch every game anyway. Best of both worlds.

And you live in Baton Rouge
For me it would be a 9 hour drive one way, 2 nights in a hotel and a pain in the arse
If I still lived in BR I'd prefer going to the games and make an all day event out of it.

Didn't miss a home game & made at least 1road game for 15 years. Was a blast. This will be the 3rd straight year I've sold my tix. Many reasons why...kids, work, etc. But, once I broke that streak of never missing & watched my first game on tv since the 90s, I was like "hey, this isn't so bad" lol. Never looked back. I'll pick up some tix to a crap game for the kids or I'll get a client to hook me up with good ones. It's like crawfish, once or twice a year & im good. In another 5 years or so, I'll prolly start keeping my tix again

For Bowls/Kick-Off and rivalry SEC games, you are wrong.
For mediocre OOC games, you are right.

Goldrush, you nailed it-good to great seats, in person WAY BETTER. Seats below good, home WAY BETTER. It's that simple.

Watching the game on TV is just better
Anyone that says this either a- had one or a couple bad game experiences that scarred it for them, or b- doesn't even go to the games.
I say this with confidence, because no fricking logical person can honestly argue the fact that watching a football game on a TV is better than in person. GTFO of here with that dumb shite...

The other "fans" (aka you aka the rant) only make it worse. You're all awful. How is LSU (and college football) going to bring fans back into the stadium and on campus for game day?
Looks like it won't be you.

I gotta be at the game. Can't beat being on campus from sunup to sundown. I will gladly put up with all the alleged negatives identified above in exchange for a real LSU game day experience. To each his own but not many things are greater than that. There will come a time when I will attend my last LSU game. That will be a very sad day.

you're right!
nothing gives me goosebumps like the sound of an announcer announcing my team running on to the field, the roar of the crowd on the TV speaker, the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself (my couch), and the thrill of watching my alma mater in HD punctuated by geico commercials..
come on man.

To each their own. Personally I love watching at home on my big screen and being able to pause at will to take a piss, get a beer or
The games I have attended I won't ever forget! Great game day atmosphere! I try to go to a game at least every couple of years with my brother.
My Aunt, Uncle and my grandparents came to everyone of my Friday night high school games, then went to every LSU and Saints home games. They loved it and did it right back then

I'm an LSU but I love college football I watch as many games as I can on saturdays. I'm Not going waste a Saturday of watching games to watch one game
So all the other games combined are more important than the one LSU game?
Yea you're not a LSU fan.
If you think catching 3 Big Ten games and Vandy vs Florida at 11:30 am is better than catching one LSU game, you have issues.

I don't miss any games either. I watch them on my TV at my tailgate.

I don't know what planet you are living on, but LSU has zero issues getting people to pay for and attend games. Or tailgate for that matter.

Comfort be damned, I spend 12 hours every gameday on LSU's campus, walking until I'm exhausted, sweating my arse off, waiting in shitty porta potty lines, but dammit if I don't love every minute of it. My favorite days of every year. I can see how attending the games aren't convenient for people, but I'm just glad I get to go to them and no lack of convenience would stop me from going.

The atmosphere - Overrated unless its Bama or another huge must win game.
Watching the band come down the hill - Never gets old.
Callin' Baton Rouge - Overrated
Pregame band routine - Never gets old.
Doing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down cheers(yes I'm a grown man) meh, not that big of a deal unless it's a big play.
Screaming your lungs out on defense - only happens during huge games.
Yelling out T-I-G-E-R-S after a TD - never gets old
Being able to see the full field to see the play develop - only nerds in nosebleed see this really
