I was at 07 Arkansas. I will never forget that. Ever.

I'm with ya. I was there and I only make a couple games a year, growing up it was 1 game a year. That game was insane, awesome, total roller coaster. Dmac and Felix jones went BUCK wild. I remember walking out of that stadium thinking our title shot was over....

I saw Buga go BUCK wild vs Ole Miss this year. I'll never forget being at that game.

I remember driving all the way back to Chicago from Oxford, MS in 09 after the spike. I remember LSU fans all getting beer at the gas station for the ride home lol. Every single one of them was hollering about "fire miles!!"

My point is the memories/experiences are far greater when you go to the game.

I think after years of "been there, done that", home starts having more appeal. For me it boils down to the parking, traffic, cost, and time investment.

TV is nice for viewing, but, nothing like being in the stadium.

absolutely true. honestly, a lot of my fondest memories are centered around attending sporting events. while it is inconvenient and uncomfortable, there is nothing else that I look forward to all year like I do those 6-8 nights per year in tiger stadium.

I agree with this post when I'm talking about the Saints. Now that's an expensive day and not as exciting as LSU.
But there's nothing like an LSU game day anywhere.
I mean there's so much to enjoy. And I don't think it's very expensive. Free parking, case of beer or bottle of booze to tailgate with, ticket and a coke for the whiskey.
I will agree that the experience isn't the same as it was 10 years ago or prior, but it definitely beats seating on your couch watching and posting on the scoreboard with a bunch of degenerates.

I know most will disagree, but I love the 2:30pm games. I live in New Orleans and I get home earlier, verses 3AM from a night game.
Sorry, Geaux Tigers

While I love having a game party at home with great food and great friends in my (or their) comfortable home, there is NOTHING like the band coming down the hill, the pregame, the atmosphere, the noise, the crowd (at least the first half)... it can't be described, it can't be compared.

I LOVE FALL! Tiger football can't come soon enough.

Pregame band routine
Doing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down cheers(yes I'm a grown man)
Screaming your lungs out on defense
Yelling out T-I-G-E-R-S after a TD
Being able to see the full field to see the play develop
Outdoor cooking
pong
flip cup
cornhole
keg stands
meet new people

I know you can do these at home, buy it's just not the same imo.

I'm 23 years old and my first game was when LSU beat Tennessee in OT, in the early 2000's(I believe it was 2000 or 2001). Since then I may have missed 4 home games, I sit in the south end zone section 417.

i cannot imagine watching every game at home. From tailgating drinking my crowne and sprite in the morning to the smell of BBQ around campus. The atmosphere in the stadium on a Saturday night is something I will take to my grave. The friends I have made in section 417 are people i will never forget and always look forward to seeing.

That's just my take on why I couldn't watch games at home

fwiw, enjoy that while you can...within the next several years, anything sweet will start to give you such a damn hangover that you don't want to touch it.

ETA: have to admit, some of my best memories are drinking crown and seven around a fire...of course, LSU game was on the AM radio playing in the background.

To each his own. If you want to stay home, stay home. If you want to go to the game, go. I will never understand why people give a shite what other people do. You're like a child crying "my way is better". Grow up.

I saw my first game in Tiger Stadium in 1968 against Alabama.I was 13 at the time. I've had season tickets since 2003 and I gave them up this year. I pretty much have seen and done it all with LSU and now I just enjoy the comfort of my Tiger room and recliner on game day and having friends over for the games. In my younger days I would do anything to get to Tiger Stadium for Saturday nights. Now, the traffic, heat and the God forsaken terminal timeouts drag the game to the point where there is no rhythm to it anymore. Home works for me.

TV is easy, not better.
I like viewing the entire field, not just the line of scrimmage.
I like tailgating and drinking beer with the opposing team fans. I like the excitement of being there when LSU scores.

Ya ain't gettin none of that on TV.

If that's how you feel then that's fine. I don't see the point of people arguing what is more enjoyable for someone else.

I like the tailgating, its where I see most of my buddies these days since we aren't out pounding beers every weekend like when we were in our early 20s. I love being inside the stadium and feeling the passion of almost 100k going crazy for our team. I don't dealing mind all the lines and other grumbling I've seen on here because it's only a handful of times per year.

I like watching games on TV as well. I do that almost half the time bc I only travel to maybe one away game a year.

I am old enough to remember when LSU was on TV maybe once a year. So I enjoy very much that every game is on and we now have Big Screen HD. That being said, If it was doable for me, I love being in Tiger Stadium, I usually make at least one a year.
