Was having to go back to your room to make a drink a pain in the arse? I feel like it would be. If not, how did you get around that?

When I went on a cruise we used the rum runner flasks. With the cruise kit you get 3 - 32 oz flasks, 3 - 8 oz flasks and a funnel. We carried the 8 oz flasks with us pretty much everywhere on and off the ship. They easily fit in your pocket or snorkel gear in my case.

Benefits of rum runner:
https://www.rumrunnerflasks.com/

Different rum runner kits available: Or individual flasks at the bottom of the page - get the funnel:
https://www.rumrunnerflasks.com/flasks.aspx

In the large flasks we filled one with rum, one with Crown Royal and brought a fifth of Wild Turkey American Honey for shots in the other. We also filled the 8 oz flasks with the same so we didn't have to do it first thing on the ship.

It was a 7-day and we got a few of the "drink of the day" which were all pretty darn good and a snorkeling excursion had free beer and shots. Between the "DOD", provided drinks on excursions, trips to the Dollar bar and Carlos and Charlies we came home with probably about half of the liquor that we brought with us. Didn't stay smashed the whole time but if felt like a drink or buzz it was available for cheap since we got the "all-you-can-drink soda card".

With the 8 oz flasks its no problem carrying them around getting a coke and pouring some alcohol in it. Probably wouldn't want to sit at the bar and do it right in front of the bartender, but if you're discreet it won't be a problem.

I saw some people at a table near us that got on an elevator a couple/few times and they would be right back. One time they did it I asked them if they were making sure the evacuation or escape route was clear and they told me that it was where they were making their drinks. We did it a couple times but it wasn't really necessary. But they didn't have flasks so for them their options were probably the bathroom (which would have appeared strange to bring your cokes), elevator or going back to their cabin.

I didn't get it. My wife and I drank all we wanted and ended up spending about $150 less than what we would have if we would have bought it.
This plus this:

. Remember too, you are paying for every day that you are on the ship, including they day you get off when you leave at 10 AM, the days you're at port for 8 hours..... just something to keep in mind.
I drank like crazy on our excursion, so I drank very little once back on the boat.

I usually get hammered at the ports. Without fail, every cruise I've been on, there has been at least one dinner that I couldn't attend because I was too drunk.

Yes, I know I'm trashy.

On a bach party, almost definitely worth it I'd say. No way its worth it for my wife and I to do it though.

But here's the thing, as said, how much are you going to drink in port? Also, can you not bring a 6 pack back onto the boat from each port? So 2 stops is 12 beers back on the boat right? If you are off the boat also for 8 hours, and drink off the boat how much more are you going to drink beyond the 6 pack?

Basically what I'm saying is if you stop in port 2 days, you are mostly drinking off the boat then have a 6 pack you can bring back on. So you are paying $50 for what those two days? So now you are talking $100/ day for the only boat days.

Not allowed to bring alcohol back on the boat. I feel the drink package is worth it for people that like to drink.

1. Get unlimited drink package.
2. Find bachelorette party.
3. Feed them free Patron shots.
4. ???
5. Profit.

If a boring person takes a cruise, yes it will probably be boring.

If a person enjoys live entertainment, comedy clubs with actual comedians, karaoke clubs, dueling piano bars, ping pong tournaments, miniature golf, water slides, sports bars, casinos, etc to name some of the things I did and can remember they will probably not be bored. If they are there is a lot of other stuff to do - 24 hours a day. A cruise ship is a floating city - not a city in Louisiana more like a little Las Vegas - casino and all. Dance clubs, different types of nightclubs 70's & 80's etc, card tournaments, spa, gym, crazy contests like the hairy chest. If you are bored on a cruise ship you are working hard to be bored.

Some people don't even leave the ship and can't wait to get to port so everyone else gets off and they can have the ship to themselves. We met two older couples at breakfast the first morning at sea that never leave the boat.

One of my favorite things was to go up to the highest deck that you could be outside and take pictures of the three ports we visited. Coming and Going - especially Jamaica which was beautiful.

Rookie. I did it and hit my 15 limit 3 of the 5 days, and came close the other 2. Absolutely worth it.

If you drink beer you can do this...We wait until Captain's night which I believe is the second night to buy in beer in bulk. There is always a $1 when you buy four or five at a time, but on Captain's night, it's an additional $1 off each beer. So we will buy a case or two of Rebel IPA and be set for the week.

Do any of you have any favorite drinks that are done especially well on the ships? I usually drink beer or rum and Coke but I do like to switch it up a little bit if I'm going to be drinking a lot over the course of a few days.
