Everyone cool down. The market will correct itself.

Regardless of your opinions on IDB situations, he did refuse to comply. And that's an absolute no-no on an airplane.

CEO was probably like, "was he black?" When told he was Asian, CEO was like, "Oh... we good."

Sounds Mexican, Trump should deport him.

Airlines can offer up to $1500 if you volunteer to give up your seat. Obviously their offer was cheap. I'm guessing they will pay a lot more in the settlement and lost business.

No he won't. It sucked and wasn't handled well..but the fact is that he agreed beforehand to a contract with the airline and refused to follow it.

He'll get a settlement. Airlines don't want you to think too long about the actual terms of the ticket. And they'll pay him at least 5 figures (and maybe six) just to make this go away. A trial would simply be another chance to show the video of a bloodied passenger being dragged from a plane.

United, American, Delta are all such shitty fricking airlines.
Hawaiian an Korean = best i've ever flown

Sucks the guys number got called to get bumped, but it happens. No need to sneak back on the plane and run around belligerent refusing to leave.

Did the United CEO write the ACA?

The airline acted stupidly. Its CEO acted stupidly. Now both have doubled down. This will not end well for the airline.

The bad PR alone really can't even be calculated.

The main domestic carriers are not on par with Korean or Hawaiian.
But Delta is also several notches above United and American these days.

I can't wait for all my empty flights and upgrades as a result of the backlash. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanana1.gif)

This CEO will be out in a month. The bad press from this is phenomenal and now he's doubling down. Unreal. They beat a customer unconscious for refusing to give up his seat so a United employee could take it and then had to deplane everyone so they could clean up the blood. I don't think I've ever heard of worse PR.

It really is stunning how badly they are handling this. We all know it will end poorly for them.
