Herman's agent is Trace Armstrong. He just broke off from Sexton I believe but they are the 2 biggest college coaching agents. Les just hired trace Armstrong.

Gundy should be the third option.

He's 103-49 at ok state and is known for spectacular offenses

if not for the clusterfrick by the refs in the central Michigan game ok st would be 10-1 right now

wtf does this have to do with each other?

I'm not as sold on Jimbo as others seem to be. I'd be more comfortable with him if Aranda is definitely staying.

We're talking about paying Fisher $6 million a year and you dont think asking for a housing allowance is laughable?

When you are soliciting then nothing is laughable. Go big or go home

Agreed, and that's no small accomplishment at Okie lite.

Gundy would be a damn strong hire. Not my #1 choice, but would undoubtedly do very well at LSU or anywhere for that matter.

Sexton will be the reason why making a deal with Herman will probably get done before one with Jimbo

I wish. Herman would be my first choice, but it sounds like he is a lock for the Texas job. We are going to spend a fortune to get Jimbo, with a ridiculous buyout, and I just don't see a major upgrade with him. JMO.

fricking newsflash TAF. 6 million does not get you a top coach in today's market. If you want him, pay his $7mil and let's get it fricking done.

This. Championships are not cheap... and the price tag is only going to go up.

They chose this route, so they should have been prepared for this. Give the man the housing allowance if that's what it takes.

Sexton's job is to gouge teams for as much money as possible. It shouldn't be a surprise that LSU is gonna have to pony up a shitload of money to get Jimbo from FSU.

I'm still not convinced Jimbo didn't play us last year. Skip stated it is almost never one of the top guys "reported" on the list.

Why do we care about his salary? Should be irrelevant. Go to 7M and if that's not good enough, look at mike gundy.
