Gonna need you flatbill DD, supped up surface drive types to do plenty scouting this weekend at the wax and in Venice. Leave no stone unturned! Scouting is the key

I'll be playing golf.

We rode the farm this weekend - not a single duck, no geese....nothing.

We were stacked with specs less than a week ago.

It is so dry....but our hunting field will be flooded - that is our only chance - we will have plenty of water.

Any forecast out past 10 days is a crapshoot lets not panic there is no way it could be worse than last year. Last year it was hot and there was so much water ducks could literally sit anywhere they wanted to.

That's the only thing we have going for us this year. If you have water they will pile in. How long they will stay is a different question...

No ducks in Reggio as of Sunday morning. No grass or feed for them to eat.

There was a DU Migration report from a week ago in South Dakota that they were still waiting on the migration to start. On a scale of 1-10 they gave it a 1. Thats South Dakota, not South LA.

I am honestly not planning on doing much hunting at my lease until after the split.

I got a good report from the weekend and didn't believe it with the weather the way it's been. I took a ride this am... I know with 100% certainty where I will be opening morning, to say I was impressed is an understatement.

I saw a video from down your way. I'll be down with another OB'er, Friday-Sunday for the opener. Very excited.

Just glad they can't run around after 2 pm at least down in the WMA. Will hopefully stop some of them from even coming down. I am perfectly content in the bay boat and pirogue.

it matters not what the temps are here... it matters a great deal what the temps and conditions are further up the flyways.
