How Long Did Your Wife Breastfeed?

Mine went about 6 months and then formula became too convienent. She was back at work around 10 weeks and pumping got harder and harder to keep up. I'd consider up to a year normal based on nutritional value alone. After that it seems like there isn't much benefit medically.
However... I work with some liberal hippies who all think Im terrible for using formula at all. They have 2-3 year olds still suckin the tit daily. I know some of their husbands and now I can't look at them the same for allowing this. Am I an a-hole for looking down on these people or is it just crazy for a kid to be able to ask for a tit.

Years. And it was weird seeing my mother-in-law on my couch with a boob hanging out.

They're looking down at you so y'all are equal in those regards. Not an a-hole IMO.
The people who try to push you to their style of child-feeding drive me nuts, especially when I know they don't know the least bit what they're talking about. You do what you can for your kid and leave it at that.

5 months. Between work, school and general stress, the well dried up before she wanted it to.
Started formula at 5 months and just switched to whole milk at 1 year.
And frick cleaning those breast pump parts, frick them.

However old my son was when his high school girlfriend found out. She is a weirdo though.

Technically my kid breast fed for about 2 days.
Apparently my wifes tits werent pumping the milk out at high speed, so she had to pump and freeze then feed by bottle.

Two or three weeks. Child had a severe milk protein allergy so we had to switch him to formula. But not just any formula - it was some special stuff for milk protein allergies that cost a fortune.

This cracked me up. Obviously a joke, but I hate it when parents use months to tell the age of their kid when it gets to over a year.

Knew a family when I was growing up..their son was still sucking tit milk at age 4.

Our first one my wife breast fed for about 3 months but we supplemented with formula after the first month
he got nothing but formula after 3 months and he's turned out perfectly fine (switched to whole milk at a year)
This latest one has been on nothing but the tit since birth (4 months) but my wife works from home so she's able to do it, but i told her that if the baby is old enough to walk to her boob its time to stop and she tends to agree

About 84 months. It got weird when the other kids were eating orange slices at halftime of the soccer game and he was on mama.
