Type of grass is important here. People recommending quinclorac and vantage could be leading you to disaster without knowing what type of lawn you have. spray Barricade in the spring. For year long control follow up with another spraying after 90 days.. i.e. Feb 15th and May 15th...

If you use a good surfactant and sunshine you should be ok. That's my experience anyway. I have sprayed it plenty of times with surfactant only to get rain during or shortly after and think I was screwed. I would go back to the yard 2 weeks later and it did the trick....

You certainly don't have to but I never like to waste a trip.. Would be a good time to add some fungicide depending on what kind of lawn you have. Maybe some MSM or a 3 way if you have any broadleaves up. Give me some more detail...

You're right, I've had good luck with a 4oz/Acre rate though. Technically, I believe it is approved for St. Augustine use in sod farm, but not residential. I should have included that in my post. ETA: plus the bleaching effect is a cool phenomenon ...
