I never got the fried egg either. However, that praline bacon is serious stuff

I accept that being <25 you might get excited about a hamburger, new menu iteims at Taco Bell or the latest chain moving into town. >30 if these things still excite you, it's time to grow up.

Is a fried egg exotic? It has been around for a long time, maybe not in LA

I've eaten exactly one burger at Barcadia and thought it was "okay". But that's about it.

The Bandleader just found the horse head in his bed. But it would make some good burgers.

it's criminal that they force food trucks to move around pretty much everywhere outside of Austin

I don't know what happened at Barcadia. It is not the same burger one could get off the truck in in BR. Curbside truck burger > Barcadia Curbside burger, by a long shot. The truck did have some inconsistencies though. Seemed you had to catch them on a day when they were in a good mood.

Their candied bacon and pork belly preserves, house made pickles, and hand cut fries with flavors and specials were great, as well as their bison burger melt which was excellent. That being said, all of that is just bonus. The real thing that is lacking almost everywhere here is the basic ability or willingness to temp a burger and execute properly.

It's a sad thing to me when I call up local joints, and did a few weeks back, and ask for a burger to be cooked medium and am told they aren't allowed. I mean, I know the reasons why they are unwilling to, but that further underscores the problem at these places, and why this city needs this.

Are you referring to the curbside truck or Barcadia? If from the truck, I'd be interested in your list of 10, much less 20, better burgers in New Orleans. I've had exactly one better burger in New Orleans than from the truck.

Adam once told me he would like to expand near LSU with Company Burger...I would love to be an investor in that hypothetical.

FWIW I think Curbside has more hype than Company in BR. I love Company burger and eat it more often than I should. (Mayonnaise and condiment bar FTW)
I don't see a Company Burger in BR beating a Curbside.

Just I don't get why Bogdan came down here (Dolce Vida Pizza - top food truck in BR for a while) to sell pizzas after he had that following up there. I have been a few times on St. Charles, and there are never that many tables when I go.

This is a New Orleanian, there is always something better then whatever is being talked about.

The only thing BR dining has over New Orleans dining is the selection of Chain Restaurants, and nothing else.

I'm sorry to be this blunt about it. BR has some good places to eat, but it's like comparing Chicago dining to Cleveland dining.

Barcadia probably has a top 20 burger in NOLA, imo.
