Light use. Just hauling bikes and ice chests and household stuff. Some 4wd.

Any opinions appreciated.

ETA: Seems like this is a good time to buy a truck if you want one.

My only advice is to get the V8 model.

I have a 23’ F150 STX 2 WD.

Put a leveling kit on it so it sits like a 4WD , I’ve had zero issues and love mine.

It has the 6 cylinder 10 speed transmission

Of the two, Ford. As much as I dread the thought of owning a turbo, the 2.7 has proven to be somewhat reliable. And the fact that there are 20492830498234 on the road, even if ford can't come up with a fix, someone else will. Also have will have salvageable parts from 10yo Northern trucks that the frame has rotted out.

Almost 20years of lifter problems and GM clearly has made it know that they dgaf.

Tundra and it’s more American than the American manufacturers.

I know I'm the odd ball, but I'd never buy a UAW, or Mexican, built vehicle.
Look at the Tundra's. They are built in San Antonio by non-union, American loving, workers.

Neither one. Almost all trucks are overpriced nowadays, and most people don’t actually need one; they just want one for show so they can look cool.

The more you guys keep buying these trucks priced at $75,000, the more the dealers are going to keep charging it and pushing the price higher and higher to maximize the profit margin on them.

Seats are absolute dogshit in new Chevrolets and GMCs now, uncomfortable as hell. Like sitting on a rock at a bad angle.

GMC with baby Diesel gets 25 mpg. Much smoother ride than my F150. Super Cruise feature is awesome if you spend a lot of time on interstate.

You guys scream Tundra all the time but the engines are still imploding, even on brand new trucks. I’d stay away…

The 6.2 is the bad one.

Chevy/GMC’s will be resigned with two new V8 options later this year. 5.7 and 6.6. I think they will get larger fuel tanks too, like ford has

Who the hell buys a brand new truck? Pre Covid Tundra will run forever without barely even changing oil. 2013 here, 250k miles, haven’t done shite.
