Had the 2.7 Ford for 175k miles. Honestly couldn't complain. Had some issues with O2 sensors at the end, but really not another issue. Just bought new a couple months ago and wanted a nicer trim level now that I don't abuse the vehicle with miles (new role working from home). King Ranch vs. Denali. I went with Denali. Just liked the truck interior more and it was a decent amount cheaper based on offers I got. Yes I know about the lifter issue, but there's a ton on the road without problems and although I'll always speak up for my Ford's reliability, there are people out there who can complain about those too. In the end, I think I just needed something "different".

my 2019 ram limited just hit 160k miles.

put about 6k into it last year. some new tire sensors, new air suspension bags, couple other things. expect i could get another 50k or more with just some more oil changes

If you like dated electronics and poor MPG ,Tundra is the truck for you!

They're dead last in new sales for a reason(s).

Toyotas were very reliable at one point, and still have excellent resale, but they lack in many categories.

Down vote away, but facts are facts

Seems like this is a good time to buy a truck if you want one.

Toyotas have never been the fastest, the most efficient but historically…far more reliable than the Big3, even with 3rd Gen Tundra issues. Their new infotainment is simple & works well.
If all you care about is the latest in infotainment, then a Toyota isn’t for you. Typical

FIFY.

Nothing worse for America than seeing a grown man driving a Dodge Neon.

Consider a GM HD with the 6.6 l gas engine. Supposedly none of that active fuel management crap.

I want a V8 in truck.

Toyota had a reliable one, albeit not as powerful or efficient as the competition, but they axed it.

I went with the ford f150 XLT with leather and fx4 with 5.0. For the 13,555 miles it’s been great. Lol

Owned both, whichever one you get the better deal is what I would buy

GMC with baby Diesel gets 25 mpg. Much smoother ride than my F150. Super Cruise feature is awesome if you spend a lot of time on interstate.

Love the diesel guys that post fuel mileage. The fuel cost at a minimum 1.oo more per gallon and it’s more expensive to fix. Absolutely no reason to drive a diesel

It has only recently become $1 more per gallon. However, my range on a 22 gallon tank is about the same as I was getting with a 36 gallon tank on my F150. At 30,000 miles per year that's an extra 450+ gallons of fuel purchased per year for gasoline engine. The annual cost of fuel is about the same if not slightly better for the diesel when you take into consideration cost of fuel and mpg for the respective engines.

I was never a huge diesel fan until I bought this truck and was kind "forced" into it. I really wanted a GMC because it's a much smoother ride and Super Cruise. GMC does not offer Super Cruise on their regular gas engine. It's either 6.2 L which "requires" premium gas or 3.0 L diesel. Obviously, I went with the diesel and have loved it.

MSRP for a 1999 Silverado 4WD was $31,328.

This is the equivalent to $62,094 in 2026.

I went from a 2012 F150 with the 5.0 to a 2019 with the 2.7. My wife has a 20 Expedition with the 3.5. No complaints with Ford.

I'm now in a Ram with the 3.0 strait 6. I still feel dirty driving a Ram but it's the best riding truck I've ever been in, and the engine is superb (so far!). I just miss the ford seats and exterior button pad.

I never did like GM trucks.

I drive what I want, as do most people.

Plus, if I keep it 38.7 years, I break even on the extra upfront cost.
