1. It's a IG link.
2. It's several Dodge Chargers
3. It appears to be of people who represent the 13th percentile of folks.
4. The language appears to be not of English.

Just some resident Dr’s celebrating, letting off some steam after their placement ceremony.

I blame the Great Society anti-poverty legislation that prioritized a government check over fathers in the home.

I came because I wanted to be closer to the underserved community, but I stayed for the cultural enrichment.

Generally speaking, I think blaming entertainment media for anything is overblown. However, I think we had a perfect storm of Great Society into the War on Drugs that utterly destroyed the family units of a significant percentage of black households while perpetuating generational poverty, causing a generation of young black men to be raised without fathers and in neighborhoods in which the most realistic way to escape poverty was either to be an athlete or a drug dealer. What should have been entertainment became more than that.

Add Top Golf to the ever growing list of places in Baton Rouge that I used to think my teenage kids would be safe at with friends that they will no longer be able to visit after 5pm.

The city is shrinking quickly.

Go on Google maps satellite view and check if there are burnout circles in the parking lot. That's a good safety check.

How about we just blame the folks that did it. You think they didn't know it was wrong to shoot guns at each other in the midst of a public location?

I'm sure they knew it was a crime, and they did it anyway. That is a crime. Period. They committed a crime, they knew it was a crime, you knew it was a crime and I knew it was a crime. It doesn't have to be a giant socioeconomic discussion about psychological drivers, government policy and local market forces.

Thomas Sowell would agree with you, LBJ would likely have you whacked.

This seems to be a more common thing recently. There was a shooting by the Peabody in Memphis this weekend.

By more common I mean indiscriminate shooting in consumer business areas.

I’ve seen a lot more young black males open carrying in the last year. It’s almost common to see now.

I feel like something has shifted even worse than it has been within that culture…I’d assume tied to prolonged COVID lockdowns, no school and idle time in bad homes.

I’ve been out of BR for a while. I wouldn’t have thought of that as a bad area.

This is where I am hopeful for an aggressive City of St George Police Dept. at some point soon. A strong, visible department with a zero tolerance policy towards frickery would draw a line in the sand and show these thugs that shite like this won’t be tolerated in this city. Think Ridgeland Ms Police vs Jackson Ms police- County Line Road is the line of delineation and idiots know the Ridgeland side is not playing games. The sooner this happens the better.

Because it’s not really a terrible part of town.

TG is allowing them to congregate and it’s bringing in thugs from NBTR

Top golf isn’t part of st. George. That whole shopping area needs a wall around it to make sure it stays that way.
