Foregoing my annual trip to Bawcomville this year.
I decided to talk my fiancée to St Lucia to stay at Anse de Chastanet, but that’s changing by the minute.
I’ve never been outside the country, except for a senior trip cruise to Mexico.
Looking for a beach and perhaps mountains. The ability to smoke a Cuban cigar anytime I please. Walk from bed to beach in under 30 seconds. Snorkeling, hiking, couples massage.
Jamaica is def OUT.
Whatcha got OT? Travel board is light these days.

Hawaii would check a lot of these boxes.

My butler’s apprentice has a second home he might let you rent for a week. I’ll have him reach out

I enjoyed an all inclusive in St Maartin back in 2005. That's all I've got.

St. Maarten and St. Thomas have beaches and mountains. Not like the Appalachians, but mountains.

I always loved Our LuCaya in the Bahamas, but I don't know what it's like after the hurricane. You have the spa, street market, scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling, swimming, etc without ever having to leave the resort.
Hawk's Cay in the Florida Keys has a similar experience if you don't want to leave the States (no street market).

I'm not flying anywhere until the lines get shorter. Also not a big fan of traveling outside of US right now. But it sounds like a great trip.. Anytime you can mix mountains, beach, and cubans, it's gonna be solid.

I don't know about cuban cigars, but Little Cayman is a nice reclusive getaway. House we stayed in was right on the beach, there aren't many vehicles on the island, and there's plenty to do. If you don't want that much seclusion, Grand Cayman has more to do.

Hawaii is awesome but $$$ and the flight sucks arse. But maui is pretty fricking awesome.

Costa Rica is probably the spot that meets all your needs and is stable.

Go to Moorea, French Polynesia. Easily checks all the boxes for ya.

Hawaii was my first thought as it has the best combination beaches and mountains that I’ve experienced, but I doubt it’s the cheapest by any stretch.

Hawaii. You won’t regret it.
Kauai in particular would be great for everything you described. Rainforests with awesome hikes snorkel the Nepali coast.
Big island is also great for snorkeling and hiking. Volcano national park is awesome to see

I found round trip flights for less than $500 last year in July. But it was one of those deals that just pops up. I went and it was amazing. My second time there, first on the big island. Hawaii is one of my favorite places on the planet.
