I was gonna look into buying a Retro Snap Play (handheld video game thing). But the more I looked into it apparently it’s just Chinese knockoff simulator trash.

Most all of that retro gameplay is emulation-based.
Even the mini-systems that came out were emulators.
If you're just playing games through 16 bit, the cheapos should be fine.
A few years ago I got a Retroid Plus 2 and it handles through like Dreamcast/Gamecube. I see they're up to a 5 now. Probably handling PS3 games at this pace

HBO is $3/month for 1 year.
Apple TV is $6/month for 6 months.
Disney/Hulu has a deal too.
NordVPN is 75% off for a 2-year plan or 60% off 1-year.

I don't really Patreon but one podcast has an 80% off sale for month 1 so I did it so I can go through his premium backlog to listen to the pods I want then cancel it after 1 month.

I sub to a few Patreons of YouTube content creators that I enjoy so that way they have a consistent income stream and have to worry less about making algorithm content. Just a couple of bucks a months for each.
