I need a ruling for the following image, is "Plane" an acceptable answer for what is on the card?
This has my family in argument going on 30 minutes. There was a challenge and a vote. The vote is deadlocked and resulted in 5 saying "Plane" is acceptable, 5 saying saying it is not and only allowing "Jet" or "Jet Plane". Votes came in from ages 6 to 72.
The game is "Words are Hard" and the goal is to flip over circular card in 1v1 format. The first person to come up with a new word, that starts with the first letter of the image, wins. The game purposely uses images with silent first letter and images that some could mixup or have multiple definitions causing challenges. The most difficult part of the game is you cant use a previously used word and remembering what was used. Theres 200 cards so 200 unrepeated words.
For Plane the person used Pyramid. This came in first.
For Jet, the person used Jungle.
Would you accept "Plane" ?

If Jet Plane is acceptable then plane should be acceptable too
That's like saying Tennis shoe would be acceptable but shoe would not

If there’s no other card with a different plane then “plane” is acceptable.
Would they insist on specifying for a biplane?

You’re playing with 6 year olds and someone wants to say Plane isn’t a good enough answer?

What about a gayplane?

Yes, a jet is a type of plane that is powered by jet engines. While all jets are planes, not all planes are jets, as some planes use propeller engines instead.
Yall wasted a lot of time on what yall could have found out in seconds.

So if you tell them that you will take this picture of a plane on it and shove it up their arse they wouldn’t know what you meant?
…well there’s your answer

Everyone knows the correct answer is "aeroplane".
quote:
An aeroplane is a fixed-wing aircraft powered by a jet engine or propeller, designed to fly by generating lift from the air flowing over its wings. While "aeroplane" is the traditional British English spelling, "airplane" is the common term in American English. The primary components of an aeroplane include the fuselage, wings, tail assembly, and engines, which work together to provide lift, thrust, and stability.

Plane should be an acceptable answer.

If someone asked, “How did you get to San Francisco?”
And you answered, “We took a plane.”
Would the questioner call you a liar if it was a jet plane? No. It was a damned plane, just like the one in the picture.
